Associate/Analyst - Infrastructure Private Equity (4-7 yrs)
For an Infrastructure PE Fund client, we are looking to hire an Associate / Analyst of around 27-30 years old, to join the infrastructure private equity team in Mumbai. The person will support the team in all aspects of the deal process from origination and due-diligence through deal structuring and post-investment portfolio management.
Job Requirements - :
- Extensive financial modelling skills and experience in Excel
- Previous transaction experience (4-5 years) on either the buy or sell side
- Highly analytical
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Clear, concise writing skills
- MBA/CFA/CA
Critical Exposure/Experience : - Financial Modelling Skills, Financial Analysis
The incumbent will participate in all transaction functions and portfolio management activities, take the lead in financial modelling and industry research, play a key role in the underlying analysis of investment decisions, and assist senior professionals in structuring and negotiating prospective investments in target companies.
Responsibilities will include :
- Research and due diligence on companies, management, competitors and industries
- Provide initial investment review and screening of prospective investment opportunities for the firm as well as tracking of the investment pipeline
- Extensive financial modelling to support potential investment opportunities
- Evaluation of project investment opportunities including review of project documents such as power purchase agreements, fuel contracts, concession agreements and financing agreements
- Preparation of term sheets and letters of intent and review of transaction documentation
- Assist in preparation and presentation of Investment Recommendations to the firm's Investment Committee
- Monitoring of assets with the firm's portfolios including review of monthly operating results and maintaining project performance
