AVP - Training - Investment Banking Domain

- To act as the primary learning consultant for the assigned business and have overall responsibility for, development initiatives across multiple business locations

- Design, Develop and implement the business specific learning curriculum across all business locations as agreed and signed off by senior business stakeholders and broadly categorized into Induction Phase (GBM Induction, Business induction 2) Tenured employee curriculum

- End to end business certification ( Internal / external ), Ad hoc needs including mandatory training curriculum (excluding compliance and operational risk training)

- Collaborate with business SMEs/ SPOCs and stakeholders to streamline and govern Business On the Job training ( Process /System training by Process SMEs) across all business locations.

- To communicate effectively and regularly on progress updates in the business people forums ( MANCOMs)

- Effectively utilise Business Mancom, Newsletter updates, Connect sessions and other engagement forums to create visibility of learning offerings and promote self- paced learning ( e-learning, podcast, Academy Portal, etc.)

Site Responsibilities :

- To act as the primary point of contact, and have overall responsibility for, L&D initiatives for the assigned Site/ Sites. To manage and execute on all global and business learning initiatives within the site.

- To functionally lead and enable the existing GBM trainers around technical training design and delivery structure for the site. Implement a robust engagement plan, responsibility and escalation mechanism.

- To ensure that Capability Development needs of staff at all levels across businesses for the site are determined via comprehensive Training Needs Analysis and realised through structured interventions as agreed by respective businesses

- To engage with location people committee and create a culture of self-learning amongst staff by promoting existing HSBC Academy offerings ( e-learnings, subscription based and mobile based learning, newsletter, webinars etc ) and effectively utilising training vendors and cross location trainer capability.

- Drive business speaker sessions for the site and involve senior business leaders ( VPs / SMEs ) to deliver business/ industry/ regulatory insights

- To help ensure technical mandatory training is completed in a timely manner across all businesses for the Site.

- To provide regular and meaningful MI on training strategy implementation to stakeholders on timely basis
