Assistant Vice President - Product - eCommerce Startup (4-7 yrs)

As the AVP - Product, you will be responsible for planning, development and growth marketing of the product throughout its lifecycle. The role encompasses gathering business requirements, defining the product vision, developing the product roadmap and working closely with engineering, business, marketing and support to ensure delivery in line with the roadmap and Company's revenue / customer satisfaction goals.

Responsibilities

Define the product strategy and growth roadmap for new and existing product components and take ownership of their delivery

Deliver required documentation for Engineering teams with prioritized features and corresponding commercial justification

Work with the Engineering teams to ensure successful delivery of new products and enhancements

Direct and support the marketing of product enhancements and the launch of new products

Ensuring that detailed requirements (prototypes, where possible) for all product requirements are captured and clearly communicated to design and technology resources

Lead growth metrics for various aspects of product to help achieve business goals

The role will be a mix of individual contribution and managing a team of product managers and product designers

Requirements

4+ years of product management experience with scaling consumer-facing products to millions of users

Ability to translate business requirements into practical solutions

Sound understanding of technology and engineering (web and mobile) and ability to judge tech estimates, design artefacts

Ability to organize and lead multiple threads of activity concurrently

Highly analytical (operations, marketing, business & user behavior data) with an ability to precisely define a problem and enumerate scenarios for analyses

Management experience - coaching and mentoring a team to help them achieve KPIs and growth

A customer centric, creative and analytical problem-solving mindset

Strong negotiation, process, analytical and presentation skills
