Role : HR Manager - AVP - Leading Investment banking firm

Strategic HR Consulting - Understands and demonstrates knowledge of principles and best practices in human resource program procedures and methods and knowledge of the related business context, and the ability to creatively apply both to generate responsive solutions to specific situations.

- Creates and leverages human capital strategies and leadership initiatives to ensure the HR function supports changing business needs and strategic goals.

- Serves as an internal advisor to senior leaders on strategic business decisions, human capital strategies/issues, and leadership effectiveness.

- Maintains an up-to-date knowledge and understanding of developments and trends in HR and business disciplines and strategy.

Talent Management & Engagement : Understands and demonstrates knowledge of concepts, principles, and practices related to identifying, attracting and acquiring talent as well as talent development strategies designed to enhance bench strength, diverse talent and workforce engagement.

- Identifies, evaluates, and recommends leadership interventions to enable, accelerate and strengthen leadership effectiveness and team member engagement across the business.

- Identifies and develops strategies to accelerate progress in acquiring and promoting diverse talent across the business.

- Provides guidance and coaching to promote talent development and movement across the business and broader organization.

- Provides insight and guidance on the planning, evaluation, and administration of training and career development initiatives.

Organizational Design and Performance : Understands and demonstrates knowledge of organizational development and structuring concepts, principles, and practices, including how to leverage human capital strategies and drive an inclusive culture to accelerate organizational performance.

- Partners with leaders to gain a deep understanding of business goals, business process issues, and service delivery challenges in order to provide insight to how leveraging talent related strategies can accelerate progress.

- Provides guidance on organizational design proposals that involve extensive analysis of a large, multi-mission, complex, or diverse organization

Workforce Planning :

- Understands and demonstrates knowledge of HR concepts, principles, and practices to determine workload projections and competency gaps to align human capital needs with organizational goals.

- Analyzes data and reports from human resources databases and define objectives and goals for human capital planning and workforce management.

- Collaborates with management to develop/compile workforce needs (gaps) and develop strategies to ensure sufficient pipeline.

- Aligns workforce planning activities with organizational mission/ objectives/goals.

Coaching :

- Understands and demonstrates an ability to provide positive support, feedback and advice to business leaders to improve their personal leadership effectiveness in the business setting and in achieving business goals.

- Conducts interactive sessions with senior management to share observations, organizational knowledge, data, and themes relating to leadership and organizational issues.

- Guides leaderships in the proper application of consensus building, negotiation, coalition building, influencing, and other collaborative problem solving approaches to achieve business goals and resolve problems

Employment HR Policy :

- Understands and demonstrates knowledge of laws, rules, regulations, principles, and practices related to one or more HR Technical areas.

- Understands and demonstrates knowledge of principles and practices related to employee conduct, performance, and dispute resolution.

- Serves as an advocate for policies and procedures that are in compliance with local, state, and federal HR laws.

- 15+ years of multi-functional HR experience.

- Exposure to GIC environment an advantage. Strong business and HR acumen, including strong problem solving skills, critical thinking, and self-initiative

- Must have good understanding of local trends and practices in HR and a good knowledge of the IT / BPO industry

- Ability to influence and partner with different levels of the organization to achieve results. Multi-cultural sensitivity.

- Proven capability to identify, recruit, develop and retain talent in the offshoring context.
