Assistant Manager - Supply Chain - FMCG - NITIE/SP Jain

Executive Hiring is looking for a Asst Mgr. - Supply Chain for a Large FMCG Conglomerate, based at Kolkata.

- Post Grad in IE/IM/Ops. from NITIE, SP Jain etc with 2-3 years of work experience in the field of Production Planning/Materials Planning/Supply Planning, of which at least 1 year in the Factory/Unit/Plant environment.

- The Incumbent should be well equipped with SAP.

The Role & the attributes :

- Carry out manufacturing planning on the basis of FG inventories and the sales estimates.

- Materials planning to meet the Manufacturing requirement.

- Apply best practices in Supply chain planning across the chain so that fluctuations across can be evened out. All such improvements to be implemented through SAP.

- To set up systems to optimize the levels of inventory of FG at the WSP's and different PCP warehouses to improve the availability of the product with minimum inventory cover.

- To optimize the freight cost

Knowledge And Skill Requirements:

- To be able to allocate the program based on sound understanding of cost implications of freight, excise and applicable taxes.

- Expertise in understanding & using SAP.

- Knowledge of local taxes and duties applicable in India.

- Understanding of Plant and Machinery installed factories and their capacities, flexibility and limitations.

- Understanding of seasonal trends in market as well as seasonal limitations in manufacturing units on account of festivals and other cultural reasons resulting in absenteeism and availability of road transport etc.

- Familiarity and working knowledge of best practices in Supply Chain management by taking overall view of the location of manufacture, RM/PM freight costs and FG freight costs.
