Assistant Manager - Strategy & Procurement Research

Role Description :

- Execute business research projects in the area of strategy; procurement and /or marketing for various clients including large corporations and professional service firms

- Understand research objectives based on client type and accordingly follow a work approach, interpret and analyze information for accuracy, exhaustiveness and applicability

- Source the relevant and accurate information through secondary (including databases) and primary research

- Present the analysis in a structured manner

- Deliver high quality, client-ready output with minimal supervision; identify risks / issues and escalate to the project leads in a timely manner

Work Experience :

- 4 to 8 years of experience in research (KPO) industry

- Excellent business research skills, as evidenced by extensive experience in utilizing those skills in research environment

- Experience in handling multiple projects and 5-6 member team and manage resources efficiently

- Experienced in playing a client facing role (over the phone and email) to manage client expectations, understand their requirements and execute the task with the given team on a regular basis

- Experience in conducting secondary and primary research for complex business problems

- Experience in extracting relevant information from various databases such as DialogPro, Thomson, Factiva and Bloomberg

- Basic understanding of industry dynamics such as KPIs and frameworks such as SWOT analysis, Porter's Five Forces; strong domain knowledge of his core subjects/specialization area (educational as well as work experience)
