Assistant Manager - Strategy Development

Key job responsibilities include the following:

- Understand, manage, and independently deliver on research and analysis expectations and requirements: collect data, analyze problems, and develop solutions on competitors, functions, and strategy

- Gather financial, industry/function-specific market and business information, using internal and external research resources such as industry journals, analyst reports as well as information databases

- Analyze and summarize research results

- Work with large datasets and analyze information to draw meaningful insights

- Prepare deliverables for senior executives

- Liaison with US colleagues to understand key business issues and incorporate them in deliverables

- Collaborate with US/India team members and manage all aspects of assigned projects.

- Apply established tools and methodologies to support business decision-making

- Guide junior colleagues on projects and client interactions

- Recognize colleagues’ strengths and development needs and provide them with ongoing feedback and coaching

- Be the counselor for analysts/senior analysts and manage their performance

- Assist the CI/SD team leader in managing the USI SD team’s operations

Special skills/professional experience:

- MBA or Master’s Degree like MBE/MFC/MIB/Economics from a reputed school in India

- Six or more years of work experience, including at least two in business research/analysis. Corporate strategy experience is preferred

- Strong qualitative and quantitative analysis skills. Must have prior exposure to financial statement analysis

- Understanding of strategy models and frameworks

- Good data visualization skills and ability to present data analysis in intuitive graphical and tabular formats. Familiarity with Tableau or other data visualization tools will be an advantage

- Strong MS Office skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint. Experience in using statistical tools (like SAS, SPSS or R) will be an advantage

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

- Strong team player with exposure to working in virtual teams

Work Timings: 11.00 AM to 8.00 PM
