Assistant Manager - Product Control

We have an urgent opening for Assistant Manager into Product Control

Principal Accountabilities: Key activities and decision making areas

Impact on the Business:

- Assist with production of FO-BO-GL Reconciliations and Reporting for the Equities Desk including Cash Equities, Futures, Structured Equity Derivatives, Equity Finance and SBL.

- Understand & review the functioning of various front office, middle office, back office & GL systems and ensure strong engagement within the team to ensure accurate deliverables.

- Assistance to the Manager in day-to-day and periodic reporting requirements and provide leave and off days cover for other staff.

- Enhance knowledge in banking / financial services global Markets domain

- Identify opportunities for development and drive changes independently

- To produce accurate and timely MI being generated in conjunction with the onshore teams

- To Identify control checks in the processes and quickly implement same in the processes.

Skills/Experience Required

- Qualified Accountant (ACA /CPA /CFA /CIMA) or MBA (Finance) with at least 3+ years of post-qualification experience

- Knowledge of traded markets products like Equities, Structured Equity, FXO, SBL, SWAP is essential.

- The jobholder must possess a good understanding of Global Markets products, its various desks and accounting rules, their financial reporting requirements and key internal controls. Experience in Product control or Global Markets environment would be preferable.

- Excellent communication skills and presentation skills

- Strong analytical, problem solving and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work effectively with staff across cultural boundaries.

- Proficiency in MS Excel is mandatory and other MS Office suite will be an advantage
