We need a strong analytical & Planning person who does Automation/ conversion of MIS into BI reports using tools like QlikView/ tableau

Organization- Leading MNC

Shift timings- UK shift

Job location - Mumbai, Powai

Experience Required

- At least 4 - 6 years of relevant experience as per above requirements

- Experience in analytical / MI & Planning role preferably within financial services/BPO/KPO

- Strong track record of delivery against stretching objectives

- Experience of tool development and automation using VBA as front end and Access/SQL as backend

- BI - Qlikview / Tableau experience desirable

Thorough competency on data analysis, manipulating and processing experience in data management environment

- DBMS and RDBMS (SQL server/Oracle and MS - Access)

- Through hands on knowledge of the MS Office Suite (especially advanced excel & PowerPoint tools)

Qualification Needed

- Graduate/Post Graduate/MBA

- Certification/attended training courses in SQL Reporting (mandatory), VBA Macro's and any BI tool like Microsoft BI/QlikView/D3JS/HTML (preferred)

Overall rules of the department

Manage a team of Reporting & Automation Analysts who have the ability to understand the capabilities of various tools (BI - Qlikview, Tableau, Advance Reporting/RDBMS Applications - SQL, Reporting & Automation - VBA, MS - Excel, MS - Access, MS - PowerPoint, MS - Share Point, etc.) and how the team can utilize them to deliver best in class Reporting & Business solutions, User Developed Applications/tools (UDAs) for the business

- Self-starter, who should be able to lead, improve, innovate and automate key aspects of Reporting (from Strategic to Tactical layer), Workforce Management and Automation

- Manage the Reporting & Planning team, ensuring that staff are managed, trained, and motivated to meet organizational and personal objectives

- Should be at ease in managing high stress, fast-paced environments with emerging and multiple responsibilities in an unstructured environment

- Expertise in People (building team/individual capability). Process (understand, streamline, improve and automate) and System Management (use and build advanced application for Reporting, Workforce Management and Automation)

- Track, Manage, Improve and Utilize the overall resources/capacity of the team to maintain contingency and flexibility in the light of changing business demands

Key Deliverables

Existing Reporting/Planning Deliverables -

- Develop and maintain framework to measure and track key KPI's for each deliverable of the team, i.e. Timeliness (whether all reports/analysis are being published on time as per customer requirements), Accuracy (from a sample/key reports to understand whether there were any data errors) and Customer Feedback (Operations team & management is completely aligned, engaged and satisfied with each deliverable)

- Conduct detailed & timely (at least half yearly) study for all deliverables to achieve Optimization, Improvement and enhanced Customer Satisfaction.

- Report out the findings and create continuous improvement plan

- Ensure there are zero errors and defects for all deliverables. Minimal/no observations under various independent audits conducted. Implement MI data quality standards and service levels and take action to address any incidents quickly and effectively, updating key stakeholders of any impact. Be compliant with department Risk plan at all times

- Support stakeholders with detailed/ad hoc analysis & insights as per requirements through self and team involvement

Team/People/Customer Management -

- Maximize utilization levels for team and self. At least 85% and above. Be compliant with Department People plan at all times

- Improve the level of understanding of data/tool/techniques in the team to enable its members to better assist and support the business. Mentor and coach team members

- Influence and improve VOP/NPS scores and EOS scores

Restricted

- Drive & support culture of continuous learning, which should result in addition of at least one skillset per team member per year

Improvements & Projects -

- Execute and accomplish plans for converting MI to BI (full reporting automation) for key stakeholders

- Drive forward the self-service strategy within the team that will provide our key customers the tools to extract robust & trusted reports and analysis

- Efficiently produce insightful and well thought out analyses for use by the various business functions

- Lead the continuous improvement of processes through understanding information flows and challenging current practices where necessary

- Help support the creation of products through the design & development of tools using technologies such as SQL, VBA, etc. to be used across platforms (such as desktop, mobile, web based etc.)

- Customer/Stakeholder Management - Should be able to decipher independent/neutral insights and hold key people accountable, with regular reviews

- Be able to understand, deliver and improve all team deliverables

- Logical and functional support to team members on advanced tools and techniques

- Self-support very critical deliverables like Capacity Plans, MI to BI plans, Operations Insights & Analysis, etc.

Various Business units within Prudential Global Services (Example: Operations, Finance, IT, PPMG, UK MI Team, etc.)

Competence / Knowledge / Skills / Behaviours required

- Broad experience working within an MI / BI / Planning space, with strong experience of management reporting and analysis (strategic to tactical layer)

- Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills and gravitas to facilitate effective working relationships with staff

- Ability to pay attention towards the qualitative and quantitative aspects of delivery

- Ability to accept challenges and tackle difficult situations and meet the expected goals

- Strong customer focus

- Excellent analytical skills with intellect to both develop and challenge explanations and arguments

- Good time management skills essential to manage workload and prioritise tasks

- Proven ability in delivering numerically based projects either via staff or other stakeholders

- Capability to identify process improvement opportunities through automation

- Good in planning & forecasting, performance management and KPI/Balance score card modeling Technical know-how required

- Extensive knowledge and experience of various MI / BI tools (such as QlikView, Tableau, SAS, SQL, VBA, Business Objects, etc)
