Looking for Asst. Brand Manager/ Brand Manager for a Leading FMCG Company.

Qualification:- MBA from Premier B-schools.

Batch:- 2008 - 2011

Industry Preference: FMCG/ Consumer Durable

Job Responsibilities:

Analyzing the product category:

- Analyze the industry trends, consumer behaviors, internal business imperatives, industry scenario to conceptualize region wise volume projections;

Brand Planning:

- Analyze the market research data, external market study results with respect to growth prospects, changes in brand positioning, brand health

- Provide inputs on brand positioning and brand initiatives for the year to Brand Manager and Divisional Manager IN ORDER TO support planning of brand initiatives for the year

Liaison with AD agencies, Graphic design house, marketing research agencies, Packaging vendors:

- Gather inputs from market research data, consumer insights for preparation new product brief

- Assist the Brand Manager in preparing the product brief

- Coordinate for Consumer Preference Testing (CPT) with MR/ PD team

- Conceptualize and plan for merchandising initiatives (ideation of merchandise, cost, design etc) for the new product launch

- Coordinate with packaging team for new product packaging details

- Coordinate with S&OP team for updation of information like new product pricing, packaging details, product bar code, select market for launch etc in the system

- Prepare launch brief for TM&D covering product benchmarks, distribution channels, merchandising details etc;

Develop platforms of communication for the brand that can be best suited for the product:

- Prepare communication brief detailing the need for brand communication, priority market and target segment for the communication; socio-economic class of target segment; brand definition etc;

Packaging Development:

- Prepare packaging brief covering brand positioning, priority market and socio economic class of target segment, key consumer insights, legal mandatory's, industry scenario, packaging trends, and market competitiveness of the product

- Seek KLDs for art work from packaging development team; Send the KLD's to the packaging houses to prepare the art work

- Facilitate the validation of the art work by legal, finance and manufacturing team; Handover the validated art work to packaging development team

- Monitor the first print run of the laminate for the errors in the art work: provide inputs to rectify the errors IN ORDER TO ensure timely development of the packaging as per the product requirements and market insights

Brand promotions:

- Evaluate the need for consumer promotion by analyzing region wise outlet wise purchase pattern of retailers, competitive landscape with respect to consumer promotion schemes; Conceptualize consumer promotion schemes (covering the objective, mechanism, merchandise etc) and prepare promotion brief
