Assistant Manager - International Taxation - CA - Supply Chain Industry (3-8 yrs)

About our Client: Our client is one the leading supply chain MNC that offers its services to OEM. Our clients operations spans across 30 countries and employs 200,000 individuals globally. A position in their International Tax Cell based in Chennai has risen.

Job Description : As part of the International Tax Team, your responsibilities will include:

- Coordinate with the external consultants and, assist in reviewing, and ensuring timely filing of income-tax returns and other related forms

- Support in various special projects concerning India - India is becoming one of the areas of growing interest to customers and there would be opportunities to learn and contribute to the various special projects / initiatives of the Corporate tax group

- Identify potential tax exposures in the operations and assist in finding an optimal solution and implementing - this includes preparation of internal agreements, notes, memos documenting the issue and the solutions, assist in its implementation by preparing / reviewing agreements, contracts, reports etc.

- Assist in the preparation and review of FAS 109 tax packs and FIN 48 memos and calculations, tax audit tracker, tax exposure computations etc

- Apart from the core tax activities, the candidate will also be required to assist in various projects that the Tax group works with the functions such as Treasury, Operations, Business Development etc

- In addition to the above, the candidate will gain exposure in the following areas working on projects across the Asia region

- Support the corporate tax regional team on various initiatives or projects and get involved in challenging and interesting tax or transfer pricing projects

- The various special / one-off projects, which may be in the nature of implementing inter-company arrangements, M&A projects, tax audits, computation and assessment of - what-if- scenarios, application for or maintenance of tax incentives, coordination and management of such/similar projects across the region, etc.

The Successful Candidate:

- You are a Chartered Accountant with at least 3 years post qualification experienced specializing in Tax.

- Candidates currently working with one of the Big 4's or other similar large consulting firms will only be considered.

- Experience in Direct Tax, International Tax (Core Tax) areas during the articleship / internship' would be considered. Familiarity with excel, Outlook Soft, BAAN is a plus.

- You should have excellent analytical, problem-solving, financial modeling, accounting.

- The right individual would be a self-starter, team player, ability to work autonomously in a rapidly changing environment.

- You should have effective verbal, written, and presentation skills in order to effectively interface throughout organization at multiple levels.
