Reports To : Associate Vice President, BSS Operations - Sourcing

Number of Direct Reports (the minimum requirement, but direct report job titles can also be listed here) : No direct reports at the moment; it will depend on the size and structure of the department on how it develops; should have the ability to manage a team of minimum 3 resources in future.

Overall Job Purpose :

- Manage contracts drafting and negotiations till final sign off of the contracts

- Ensure the priority list of suppliers to be remediated is worked upon with top urgency and diligence, and that the management team is kept updated on a regular basis with progress, issues /concerns and findings

- Provide assistance to the other contract remediations / reviews and ad-hoc projects as necessary

Key Accountabilities & approximate time split (%)

(Ideally 4-10 points or headings with sub-points. Quantify where possible e.g. cost/income budget, no of subordinates, likely no of yrs/mths to complete longest task. Could note key external/internal lateral relationships) General

- Ensure that all sourcing/supplier facing activity meets Barclays policy, compliance and audit requirements

Routine :

- Ensuring contract compliance with key risks associated with 3rd party supplier engagement like IT Security, Logical Assess Management and Data Privacy, etc.

- Follow the defined process ensuring compliance with Barclays audit standards

- Develop and implement procedures for contract management and administration as may be required within the process

- Prepare contracts from Barclays standard template agreement(s)

- Send contracts to suppliers and liaison with suppliers to ensure closure of contracts on time

- Ability to work with Global Risk Leads for deviations from the standard template agreement

- Complete the required documentation and follow-up actions for each deliverable until closure

- Ensure the process of contract completion and handover is diligently followed and recorded

- Ensure that the signed contracts are communicated to all relevant parties to provide contract visibility and awareness, interpretation to support

- Maintain an up to date, accurate Tracker and any other relevant records for governance; Maintain data and records as per Barclays policy and for audit purposes

- Report progress against the Tracker and any risks, issues and dependencies following the defined processes

- Prepare & present weekly / monthly status dashboards to senior stakeholders

- Work on feedbacks from all Stakeholders including Sourcing Category Leads

- Other tasks applicable to the Job Purpose as requested.

Technical Skills/Competencies :

- Proficient with Windows Operating Systems and excellent knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

- Should be experienced and an expert in being able to produce top quality dashboards for top management covering progress updates, including findings and issues or concerns as may be evident from time to time in PowerPoint and Excel

- Preferred experience in contract management and/or contract repository tools

- Knowledge and understanding of sourcing/procurement standard concepts and practices appropriate to the level of the role.

- Proven experience in studying contracts and working with the Legal teams towards remediating the contracts

- Excellent skills with analyzing and articulating the work with Legal, Sourcing Manager and Suppliers

Experience, qualifications and other requirements specific to the role Education :

- Graduate from a reputable Institute or University in legal discipline

Experience :

- Minimum 5 years of broad commercial / procurement experience primarily handling contracts and negotiations

Additional requirements : Over the next 12 months, implement the process and negotiate contracts and aim at successfully meeting the targets as agreed with the business;

- Maximize success of the job purpose by diligently and actively seeking signed contracts from the suppliers, using support/ escalation where necessary;
