GDS India BPM Team :

EY's Business Performance Management Group (presently the key engagement for the team) is the centre of excellence for modelling services in the firm with an international reputation. The assignments cover a wide range of countries and industry sectors.

The Capital Analytics team serves as the thought leadership and tool engine with a team of digital professionals to support new analytics tool development, process re-engineering and automation, financial analytics and user focused visualization.

Job description:

Primary Responsibilities and Accountabilities :

- Translate high level business requirements/problems into sound and comprehensive analytical framework through appropriate usage of advanced statistical / mathematical techniques and responsible for successful delivery of the analyses/deliverables

- Assist in delivering well organized reports, advanced dashboards making use of new age tools and technologies like Tableau, Qlikview, Spotfire, Power Pivot

- Design and build of MS SQL Server/ MS Access / MS Excel / VBA based tools & applications

- Help incubate new finance analytic products by executing Pilot, Proof of Concept projects to establish capabilities and credibility with users and clients. This may entail working either as an independent SME or as part of a larger team

- Deploy machine learning methodologies and algorithms to build data products that streamline the process from data collection to insight generation

Competencies / skills :

Must Have :

- Highly numerate and analytical individuals preferably with an excellent academic record and a degree in mathematics, economics, engineering or statistics

- Strong experience in SQL server and MS Excel plus atleast one other SQL dialect e.g. MS Access\Postgresql\Oracle PLSQL\MySQLStrong in Data Structures & Algorithm

- Visually creative, with a good understanding of UX aesthetics

- Hands on knowledge and development experience on Tableau\Qlikview\Spotfire\Power BI

- Proven experience in estimating, planning and managing technology driven projects.

- Strong Analytical skills has ability to ask right questions, analyze data, draw conclusion by making appropriate assumptions

- Attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure

- Excellent written and spoken English skills. Ability to translate business requirement into technical specification

- Organized and structured in the completion of tasks

- Experience of working in advisory/consulting/industry environment

- Flexible to travel to location within India and abroad to deliver project work

Good to Have :

- Data wrangling with Alteryx, RapidMiner, Power Query

- Hands-on experience with R, SAS, Python

Strong statistical background with hands on experience in : Logistic and Linear Regression, Clustering and Segmentation, Time Series forecasting, Exploratory Data Analysis

- Experience in supply chain, working capital, financial reporting, or asset management modeling

- Experience in more than 1 industry sector

Education & Experience :

Graduate/ PG with relevant work experience of 5 8 years
