- Global Banking & Markets : GBM provides tailored financial services to the large corporate and institutional clients across the globe covering a broad spectrum of Transaction Banking, M&A, Derivatives, Debt & Equity Financing, Research, etc

- Strategic Transaction Group : Identifies, structures and executes a range of transactions for corporate, financial institutions and governments. Transactions include mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, spin-offs, split-offs, issuance of equity or debt capital

Description:

- Support the business activities of the Global Banking coverage model wherever ‘event-driven’ transactions are being originated and/or executed.

- Assist in the preparation of pitching materials to assist senior bankers to win mandates. Assist senior originator with the marketing efforts to clients and to ensure that pro-active client relationships are maintained.

- Develop and prepare qualitative and quantitative analysis.

- Work independently; lead execution on straightforward situations; effectively deploy internal and external resources

- Manage and lead analyst involvement on work projects.

- Participate in the training of analysts.

- Promote the activities of Global Banking both within and outside the Group.

Skills/Experience Required:

- Specialised investment banking knowledge and dedicated sector expertise for banking sector

- Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills

- High achieving and motivated person with real drive for developing into an experienced M&A banker

- High attention to detail while completing tasks effectively and efficiently

- A good knowledge of corporate finance, including valuation and financial modelling

- A good understanding of company financials and ability to navigate through financial statements

- A strong understanding of M&A execution (i.e. buy-side, sell-side, private and public deals)

- A strong understanding of the financial markets

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

- Leadership experience and track-record (e.g. in current role or as part of academics/extracurricular activities)

- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

- Exceptional academic credentials - qualified Graduates from B-schools (with good CGPA score) and CAs with Big four (E&Y, PWC, Deloitte, KPMG) experience
