Hiring for a MNC into mining, processing and sales of ceramics raw materials and bodies for all ceramics markets in South East Asia, West Asia & Middle East.

Administratively reporting to the Managing Director based in India.

The Quality Manager role is responsible for disseminating Quality throughout India thus aiming at satisfying customers (not only with the product), bringing dynamics of improvement and improving the profitability.

KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Manage quality for the Company in India

- Define yearly quality objectives

- Design action plans with Managers

- Implement and maintain a Quality system that is compliant with ISO 9001 standards, and in line with the Ceramics Quality Policy

- Review customers- requirements, and ensure they are met

- Support the management of quality non-conformities, including customer complaints, to prevent recurrence

- Drive a continuous improvement approach

- Develop communication and training about quality

- Implement best practices on sites

- Undertake audits and support the definition of related action plans

- Validate a control system to guarantee traceability and consistency of products and services

- Manage Quality documentation: establish and maintain all required documented information

- Benchmark and network with other Divisions

- Collaborate with Operations team to deliver the committed volumes within the specified timelines and with 100% quality

- Responsible for following and maintaining the safety standards

Education and Experience requirements:

- A bachelor or masters degree in a science or engineering discipline

- Good experience establishing & driving Quality systems & processes

- Experience in ceramics, mining and minerals would be definite advantage

Knowledge, skills, abilities and other characteristics:

- Good spoken and written English. History of working in an international environment

- Reliable and well organised

- Good relation and communication abilities

- Comfortable with usage of IT tools (Excel, ERPs, websites- )

- Six Sigma certification is preferred
