Assistant Director - IT Advisory

The Operational Transaction Services - IT Capability team, advise and support clients through the complete deal lifecycle providing a range of sell-side and buy-side IT services to clients.

- Services range from complex IT due diligence, post-merger integration, carve out/ separation, post deal value enhancement through to corporate restructuring.

- The team delivers buy side and sell side engagements for corporate firms and private equity houses across the transaction life-cycle. We also provide non-deal related services to strategic clients.

Key responsibilities :

- Working within the Operational Transaction Services team to sell, manage and deliver IT Transaction Services engagements including IT Post Merger Integration and IT Carve-outs/ Separation.

- Managing engagements that include post-merger integration, carve-out/separation planning and execution assignments (example, buy-side, sell-side,) from inception to completion including leading engagement delivery on the ground managing key client relationships and expectations Drawing on knowledge and experience across all aspects of IT in business, provides insightful, deal-relevant points of view, recommendations based on robust analysis and addressing complex technical points with senior client staff

- Delivery and review of high-quality, risk-managed reports and other work products in various formats

- Involvement in the sales process and support the development and delivery of technical proposals, attending sales meetings and sales presentations

- Supporting role in conversion of opportunities to wins through involvement in sales proposal/pitch process

- Lead and manage internal practice development effort including development of tools, accelerators, methodologies and market propositions

- Take ownership for Quality and Risk Management (Q&RM) throughout client engagements, determining that all client work is delivered consistently complying with company's Q&RM guidelines

People responsibilities :

- Take responsibility for areas of internal team management (example, People and Operations: Supporting the leadership in developing. building and running the team and the practice) and act as a role model for the team

- Involvement in the counselling and recruitment process as required.

Job description :

- Broad knowledge and deep understanding of one or more core aspects of a typical IT function, including Enterprise Architecture, IT Strategy and Governance, Systems Integration and Application Development, IT Service Delivery, IT infrastructure, IT financials and dynamics of an IT function

- Programme and project management expertise with demonstrable experience in managing and being responsible for the delivery of successful programmes

- Knowledge of Structured methodologies and a familiarity with industry standards such as ITIL for Infrastructure, Systems Development Life Cycle methods and COBIT for IT governance

- Ability to provide insights based on experience on IT aspects of transaction deals that are relevant and valued by clients and readers of the IT Due Diligence reports

- Strong writing skills and experience of producing high caliber reports, papers, presentations and thought leadership

- Excellent English language verbal communication, presentation and facilitation skills

- Flexible with working locations, the ability to learn quickly and leverage skills in new situations

- Experience of IT outsourcing, vendor management and IT procurement

- Deep knowledge in one or more industry sectors

- Business administration or accounting knowledge (example MBA or CA or CIMA) Experience in business development, from opportunity identification to developing new business with external clients

- The ability to travel and work freely across the EU

- Experience of working in US, UK and Central Europe will be a plus

Additional skill requirements :

- Strong presentation and facilitation skills

- Experience in coaching, mentoring or counselling colleagues
