The Account Knowledge Executive(AKE) role is focused on the firm’s top priority accounts, which are aligned to a sector center. The role supports both service delivery to clients and business development activities. The AKE represents all aspects of the firms Knowledge and works as an integral part of the accounts and sector teams.

Through interaction with the relevant leadership at the service line, sector and (or) account level, the AKE understands the business priorities of both the company and its clients. Based on this understanding, the AKE designs, validates and implements an account knowledge plan that is aligned with the overall account priorities. Within the company's Knowledge Services BU, the AKE represents the voice of the customer, feeding back to the sector and service line knowledge leaders and leveraging the relevant resources within the firm to assist with implementing the knowledge plan.

The AKE is key in driving the knowledge culture of the Company, primarily through sharing and leveraging knowledge, and is expected to act as a role model within assigned accounts by consistently demonstrating and embedding related behaviors and activities.

This role resides within the the company's Knowledge sector team.

Essential Functions of the Job:

Market Leadership & Growth

- Build strong relationships within assigned accounts and be viewed as a helpful/valuable member of the account teams, understanding the account and taking an opportunity-based diagnostic approach to understand the account strategy

- Understand the business vision and participate in key account planning activities

- Understand the sector and service line knowledge plans

- Manage knowledge activity communication and reporting to account and sector leadership as appropriate

- Share hot topics and trends, uncovered at the account level, across the sector in a way that can benefit a broader audience

- Raise awareness and use of internal and external knowledge tools and resources

- Understand firm revenue opportunities across the business; begin to link knowledge to such opportunities

Operational excellence

- Enable speed-to-market and reduce duplicative efforts by identifying process efficiencies

- Collaborate with the firm's Knowledge functional teams to deliver on knowledge plans, leading the planning, execution and delivery of knowledge projects to meet expectations and align with strategies

- Ensure the identification, capture, sharing and reuse of outputs, learning and client insights as well as success stories of account enablement

- Build and set direction for a sustainable knowledge champion network and act as a role model in driving the knowledge culture
People

- Identify and manage relationships with key stakeholders on the account (Global Client Serving Partner, Business Development Executive, Account Coordinator, Service Line Leaders); collaboratively develop leading knowledge management practices that meet business needs

- Identify and address the need for resources and competencies from the firm's Knowledge functions to serve an account

- May lead cross-functional project teams to serve the account

- Actively collaborate across the sector knowledge team and the AKE community; encourage the sharing of skills and experience for mutual benefit

- Ensure knowledge transfer to enable new members of the AKE community to function effectively in their roles and project teams to successfully achieve their objectives

Analytical/Decision Making Responsibilities:

- Ongoing evaluation of knowledge value to account, objective maturity assessment of the account and its fit in the program, provide recommendations for account service opportunities

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

- Robust understanding of all firm and Knowledge services; ability to articulate the value they bring to the business

- Strong executive presence; able to interact with internal and external stakeholders at all levels

- Strong leadership and relationship skills are required, including delegating, coaching, and defining expectations; effective at virtual team building

- Excellent verbal and written communications skills

- Fair understanding of Oil & Gas or Metals & Mining sector is a plus

- Advanced skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint

- Professional, confident, credible and an enthusiastic team player

Supervision Responsibilities:

- Oversee performance measurement against key performance indicators for the AKE community; accountable for the outcome, interpretation and subsequent presentation of these measurements to the Global Sector Knowledge Leader and other key stakeholders

- Participate in a peer review process within the AKE community to enable delivery of high-quality service and a globally consistent approach to account enablement

Other Requirements:

- Willingness to travel globally

- An advanced degree in a related discipline or eight years or more relevant professional experience

- Experience with knowledge management tools and techniques

- Professional service industry experience or client-serving experience
