Role Description

Job Purpose : Part of the design team of Asian Paints that drives all the design an d- cor initiatives in the decorative business unit.

Primary Responsibilities

Business Responsibility Areas

(Please detail out at least 8-10 responsibility areas) Key Performance Indicators

1. Guide he various product teams in Asian Paints on various projects in areas relating to design, d- cor and colour

2. Understanding and aiding consumers and their influencers in their Colour Selection process at various touch points

3. Consumer research and feedback processes to understand qualitative associations with homes, the role colours play, the changes in the colour and d- cor selection process and changing expectations from Asian Paints.

4. Responsible for research projects on colour and their impact/ influence on consumers/ society. To establish leadership in the field of colour through various proprietary research projects

5. Development of new product ranges from a CMFT point of view, in conjunction with the product brand teams

6. Development of digital and offline properties that propagate the colour leadership of Asian Paints amongst consumers

7. Interface with design and research agencies to deliver critical projects. Identify new agencies and partners who will add value to the organization

8. Handhold, training and development of the marketing team around design and d- cor

Role Requirements / Specifications

Qualifications Essential

PG in Design (Preferably in Graphic/ ID/ Lifestyle) from NID / SID/ SPA.

Desired

Graduation degree/ Diploma in Interior Design/ Architecture

Previous Experience Essential

Desired

3-4 years- experience in design/ research agencies or design teams of other corporates

Consumer Research

CMFT Application

Functional Competencies Design Softwares - Photoshop/ Illustrator/ InDesign MS Office

Research processes and methodologies

Project Management experience

Behavioral Competencies Handling agencies and execution vendors

Additional Requirements

1. Graphic designer/ CMFT expert. Background in architecture/ interior design will be a bonus.

2. Should be a PG degree/ diploma holder from one of the following institutes or equivalent institutes - NID / SID/ SPA.
