Primary Responsibilities: Budgeting : - Assist the Senior Manager Purchase in preparing the annual budgets in terms of costs and working capital for the category of raw/packing materials Cost : - Manage all parameters related to cost, quality and service for the raw/packing materials in the category - Interact with vendors to understand the key environmental changes and accordingly indicate the plans for development required to manage cost, service and quality - Estimate costs of raw materials on a quarterly basis; monitor and review the actuals against plans - Facilitate negotiations and contracting process with all the vendors in his category Service Delivery : - Ensure adequate servicing of raw materials to all the plants - Plan and manage inventories to the desired levels Quality : - Collaborate with plants, Technology and vendors to make sure that quality is maintained and improved - Coordinate with technical, planning and plants and address issues in quality, service, and costs Others (Specific to one role) : - Handle the process of clearance of all imported materials including negotiations with the CHA provider, interactions across the various categories of buyers, manage issues related to statutory requirements in conjunction with taxation - Manage the freight of all raw materials handled by the company including negotiations, benchmarking in the industry, servicing to various categories of buyers People Management : - Conduct reviews with the team on an ongoing basis for various performance parameters - Create development plans for subordinates Key Performance Indicators: Cost: MPV, Purchase efficiency, Overheads, Creditors, Inventories Service: Delivery and payment performance, SKU variance Quality: Quality performance Qualifications: Essential : - Post-graduation in management from a reputed institute Previous Experience : Essential : - About 1-3 years of experience in supply chain Desired : - A stint in the purchase of raw and packing materials Functional Competencies: - Purchasing, Planning, Supply Chain management.
