Essential: CA (first attempt)  - Minimum 5 years Experience (Two years of experience in handling plant accounts)  Business Responsibility Areas:  (Please detail out at least 8-10 responsibility areas)  - Managing Retirement Benefit Funds: There are four Trusts that are operated in-house to handle the retirement benefits of employees. Two are for Provident Funds and one each for Super Annuation and Gratuity benefits.  The Manager is expected to:  - In case of PF trusts, invest the funds in a manner to generate returns that are adequate to give returns higher than the Government declared rate continuously.  - In case of other two trusts, invest the funds in a manner to generate maximum returns so that cash contribution from the Company is minimized  - Ensure statutory compliances w.r.t. entire operation of trusts. This includes the requirements under EPF Act, Payment of Gratuity Act etc..  - Manage the audits of PF authorities, Statutory audit and Internal Audit.  - Liaise with actuaries to ensure to get the ALM (asset liability management) study and managing investments in line with the ALM reports.  - Timely conduct of actuarial valuations and recording the necessary provisions in the books of the company.  Payroll management:   - The payroll process is partially decentralized w.r.t. inputs for the processing. The processing is done by an outsourced agency.   - The role of payroll team at Corporate Accounts is to ensure that the process end-to-end is managed timely and accurate salary disbursements are done.  The Manager is expected to:  - Build necessary controls in the process of input data flow, processing at the outsourced agency and salary payments are accurate  - Improve efficiency of the payroll processes through innovative processing methods, removing the NVAs and making them lean.  - Analysis of employee cost movements against previous year actuals and budgets and generation of timely MIS for senior management periodically.  - Review of Employee benefit Policy changes and ensure that they care accurately implemented.  - Manage the relationships and communication channels with the Corporate HR, Location HR team, Outsourced processing agency, Statutory authorities etc.  Bank Reconciliations:   - The collection from customers is decentralized in 125 locations and payment is decentralized into multiple functions at Corporate Office. We operate through multiple banks and numerous bank accounts and have multiple initiators of payments.  The Manager is expected to:  - Ensure preparation of Bank Reconciliation statements and clearance of open items in a timely manner.  - Bring in improvements in the organization level processes to ensure minimal delay in bank transaction recording and improve accuracy of recording of bank payments / collections.  - Work with Corporate Finance teams, IT, banks and other business teams to improve the cycle time for identification to closure of open items in the bank reconciliation statement.  Support - during and post M&A:  - Identify gaps in the internal control environment and financial policy frameworks of the acquired entity and work with them to improve process and draft necessary policies.  - Align accounting policies and financial review mechanisms in the acquired entity with that of Asian Paints Ltd.  - Support to the Accounts team of the acquired entity during the initial years to fill the competency gap and ensure that the necessary competencies are developed to meet the Group reporting requirements.  - Develop MIS templates for reporting by the acquired entity.  - Financial due diligence of targets, as and when required.
