Role : Area Sales Manager - Bangalore
Department : Sales
Summary Of Position :
- This is a territory level position, within a branch, responsible for achieving primary and secondary sales targets, collection targets, and distribution targets, in terms of expansion, penetration and display.
Organisational Relationships :
Reports to : Branch Sales Manager / Branch Manager
Direct Subordinates : None
Principal Duties And Responsibilities :
- To achieve allotted primary and secondary sales targets and collections.
- To achieve distribution objectives in terms of expansion, penetration and display.
- To assist the Branch Manager to identify and appoint distributor and direct Dealers.
- To procure and ensure timely processing of sales orders from dealers in time.
- To give inputs towards preparation of sales forecasts, basis past data and future potential.
- To ensure all collections are made as per the credit limits and policies of the Company.
- To undertake visits to dealers as per the PJP and other company norms; to motivate dealers regarding the various inventive schemes offered by the Company and motivate them to achieve higher sales.
- To ensure that in-shop merchandising at the dealer's premises is done efficiently in terms of showrooms, displays, demonstrations, contests, etc.
- To ensure that all settlements regarding incentives etc. are made within the prescribed time.
- To obtain necessary details regarding defective products from the dealers/market and provide feedback to the organization.
- To gather market information from dealers/other sources regarding competitors- products, pending sales schemes and sales methods in accordance with the system laid down and provide this to the Branch Manager.
- To give inputs to Trade Marketing and Branch Manager towards identifying specific counters for local promotional opportunities based on secondary off-take data.
- To ensure deployment and monitoring of sales target to trade partners month-wise and model-wise.

- MBA / PGDM with 4 to 8 years Experience of Channel Sales.
