Area Credit Manager - Services/Logistics Industry (8-10 yrs)

About our Client: Our client is a leading name within the Services Industry. With presence in over 133 countries they are looking for an experienced finance professional to represent Indian Customer Accounting function on a global platform.

Job Description: As Area Credit Manager you will report to the Head of Credit. You will be responsible for:

- To follow up on overdue amounts due from major regular and advantage customers by calling customers and arranging for settlements, maintaining customer relations and conducting regular field visits.

- Ensure that credit terms offered by the Sales Team are aligned to company policy.

- Provide a Best In Class' receivables management service via customer relation enhancement, creative solutions, problem-solving techniques, etc.

- Manage credit limit system, ensuring limits are set with proper management approval, balancing credit risk and business potential.

- Maintain network of external credit authorities to ensure credit practice is in line with current market practice.

- Manage backend operations to minimize bad debt by dealing with credit suspended accounts tactfully and coordinating collection actions with solicitors & external collection agents.

- Manage collection & credit risk of third party courier accounts.

- Manage the collateral (e.g. bank guarantee & cash deposit) from third party couriers and other major accounts.

- Manage The Regional DSO, ageing and bad debt for financial reporting, monthly cash flow reforecast, bad debt provision and long overdue (60 days) analysis.

- Develop a high performance service culture within the functional department.

- Allocation of appropriate resources and commitment of staff to the achievement of Global, Regional and Country objectives and targets. Identify training needs and opportunities to develop a highly skilled functional department.

The Successful Candidate:

- As a successful applicant you will be a Graduate / MBA with 8 - 10 years post qualification experience.

- You will come with strong experience in credit management.

- You should currently be working with the Logistics industry (mandatory) and have a minimum 2 - 4 years supervisory experience.
