The industry-leading Enterprise Platform provides a broad, flexible scientific foundation optimized to integrate the diversity of science, experimental processes and information requirements across the research, development, QA/QC, and manufacturing phases of product development.   Scouting for motivated and dynamic scientist to work closely with customers and the product sales team to provide pre-sales support for (organisations) Material Science products and services, including its Pipeline Pilot Scientific Platform, with a primary focus on the Material Sciences.   - This role offers the ability to work closely with customers to help them discover their scientific and business needs and to convey the capabilities of our offerings in meeting those requirements.   - The successful candidate will work closely with the sales team providing scientific and technical presentations to promote their products and services, both to new and existing customers.   - Other key responsibilities will include providing marketing input for product development, coordinating the delivery of services by departments within the company, and proactively managing customer accounts in concert with the sales team.   - Due to the high customer-facing nature of the role, it requires someone with outstanding interpersonal skills and a willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.   Qualifications Required :   - Ph.D. in Chemistry   - Experience in the use of software in the field of Material Sciences gained either in industry or academia.  - Peer reviewed publications in relevant fields.  - In depth knowledge of one or more of the following areas, Quantum and Catalysis, Polymers and Classical Simulation, Analytical and Crystallization research gained either in industry and/or academia.  - Competent in the use of workflow, and/or data pipeline technologies like Pipeline Pilot as they apply to chemistry, or informatics research and development.  - Technical knowledge in one or more of the following; Java, Perl, C++, UML/XML, Unix/Windows/Linux Platform will be a plus.  - Technical knowledge around grid computing, clusters and parallel data processing.   - Sophisticated customer facing skills; experience of delivering formal technical presentations to scientific audiences.  - Experience in project management, technical consulting and experience of delivering technical training preferred.  - Highly self-motivated with ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a larger team.  - Ability to travel extensively
