Job Description :   The position of the DGM/ GM- Procurement for Cable Business based at Umbergaon and reports to the Business Head, Cable .   Will be responsible for the entire gamut of Operations of Cable Manufacturing, should have good knowledge of various latest machinery used in the plant  Key Responsibilities include the following :   - Handle procurement cycles, lead times and purchasing requirements within overall business process of acquisition of goods or services, and minimization of response time while ensuring needs are met in a timely, satisfactory and cost effective manner  - Procurement of aluminium, copper and packing material including vendor negotiation  - Ensures compliance to quality, safety & environmental standards as per ISO  - Planning / Budgeting / Policy guidelines for purchase   - Assisting vendor audits  - Contribution to the process of purchase planning and develop materials dept. plans  - Determine the appropriate source selection for materials, services, considering cost, quality and reliability.  - Work closely with project management/site offices and accounts department on all relevant issues such as quality, delivery payments etc.  - Implement latest strategy and process for achieving uninterrupted supply chain at best price and for best quality.  - Cost reduction through development of alternate suppliers and alternate materials.  - Problem solving  Desired Candidate Profile  - B.E./ MBA with 18 to 22 years of experience in Manufacturing Sector  - PG in Materials Management Desirable  - Knowledge of procurement of material with procedure  - Relationship Management  - Hands on exposure to purchase of Aluminium, Copper & Packaging Material is mandatory.
