This is a key role within the Analytics team at Annik and will be based out of its HQ at Gurgaon. This is a highly challenging and intellectually stimulating role with strong growth prospects of eventually heading the data sciences research team.

This role will lead the IP portfolio creation efforts for the team. The responsibilities broadly include :

- Being a thought leader and the go-to person for analytics and big data related issues

- Identifying areas from existing research and develop new ideas and IPs for which patents could be filed for and drive Annik's IP portfolio creation strategy

- Providing expert statistical direction and leadership in advanced statistical techniques and explore and cultivate new methods and techniques

- Keeping self and the team abreast of the latest and greatest in the advanced analytics big data and BI world.

- Keeping constantly updated on the cutting edge analytics and big data tools and techniques in broad domains including but not limited to Healthcare and Pharma, Travel & Hospitality, Retail, Sales & Marketing, Ecommerce, Hi-tech, Electronics & Telco, BFSI and Aviation

- Ideating on the latest application of analytics in the above domains in horizontals including but not limited to Sales & Marketing Analytics, Operations and Supply Chain Analytics, Web & Social Media Analytics, HR Analytics, Customer & Loyalty Analytics

- Maintaining contacts and relationships with statistical experts in national and international circles.

- Be a part of the key data sciences forums and groups and create a visibility around Annik's data science capabilities.

- Being innovative in identifying new ways that could help automate and reduce manual efforts in model building, testing, validation and deployment

- Developing reusable artifacts that the analytics team can directly utilize for client deliverables.

- Mentoring and training the team and keeping the team up-to-date on your learnings.

Expected qualifications for the role :

- PhD / MS (from top international / Indian institutes) in Data Science, Machine Learning / Applied Statistics / Maths, Optimization, Operations Research

- Min 5+ yrs (PhD) / 7+ yrs (MS) relevant post qualification experience in data science / analytics

- Proven track record of having built IPs, having acquired patents / filed for patents in relevant areas within data science / analytics domain.

- Exceptional skills on R/Python/Weka/SAS/SPSS

- Published research / articles in Indian and international journals of repute

- Presented / spoken at conferences of repute

- Good Kaggle ranking and proof of participation (good to have)
