Job Responsibilities include :  - The candidate will be required to work with team members based in our regional offices (London, New York, Singapore, etc) to create and update models/spreadsheets in connection with valuation and research forecasts  - The candidate will work as an individual contributor and should have a basic understanding of the equity markets and be well versed with financial statement analysis  - The candidate will need to compile historical data in respect of stocks and companies from publicly available sources as well as update data in a timely manner when new information on companies earnings becomes available (typically companies release quarterly earnings statements)  - The candidate will be required to update and maintain databases to track relevant financial, economic or other indicators which may be relevant to the sector and/or region under coverage  - The candidate will be required to gather and organize data meaningfully to analyze and evaluate trends as well as perform adhoc analysis as may be required by the senior analyst  - The candidate will be required to monitor relevant market news and help is assessing the impact on valuation of stocks under coverage  - The candidate will be required to perform the required analyses to generate new ideas as well as produce and publish research reports  - The candidate will be required to assist with the preparation and development of research reports, industry primers and marketing presentations  - The candidate will have to analyze data and provide accurate information to the research team and in response to client queries on a need basis  - The candidate will also be required to update marketing and other presentations which would help our clients understand our analysis and viewpoints  - The candidate will need to have excellent written communication skills so he can contribute to writing-up ongoing updates and research publications  - The candidate should have excellent verbal communication skills he/she would need to interact with the team on a daily basis.  - Working knowledge of Bloomberg  Risk and Control objective :  - Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Operational Risk Framework and internal Policies and Standards.  Control Environment and Governance :  - Conduct periodic assessments of the control environment by analysing existing controls and issue around timeliness accuracy and completeness of risk information. Identify missing or weak controls, and work with risk reporting teams and other infrastructure teams to improve the control environment.  - Work with the wider risk reporting and risk management teams to ensure controls are fit for purpose, with agreed schedule to implement missing or weak controls.  - Ensure existing controls are helping the wider risk reporting and risk management function in upholding data quality standards and governance and regulatory policies  Person Specifications :  - Bachelors / Masters degree from premier institute with 0-2 years relevant experience in equity research  - Should be proficient in Advanced Excel as the candidate would have to analyze data and build models in Excel  - Candidate should have sound knowledge of financial statement analysis (P&L, cash flow, balance sheet analysis) and various methods to value equities  - Strong analytical skills are key as the candidate would have to analyze data quickly and logically to help understand underlying trends and anamolies  - Strong attention to detail is required  - Flexible to work long hours when required  - Good Team Player  - Ability to meet challenges proactively and with resourcefulness in developing alternative approaches  - Demonstrated ability to work in a time sensitive environment as time to market is key
