Analyst/AVP - Investment Banking Analytics (1-5 yrs)
A leading (KPO) firm providing investment research and analytics support services to the global capital markets industry. The firm has delivery centers in Bangalore (India), Colombo (Sri Lanka) and San Jose (Costa Rica), with sales offices in New York (USA), London (UK) and Singapore. it offers investment research services across multiple asset classes including equities, fixed income and credit, and quantitative research, while also providing financial institutions services such as sales and marketing support, regulatory compliance support, and corporate finance services.
Position:
1. Analyst : 1-3 years of experience
2. AVP : 3-5 Years of experience
Day-to-day activities involve:
- Trading and Comparable Comps
- Precedent Transaction Analysis
- Company Profiling (Public/Private)
- Industry / Benchmarking Analysis
- Sector Newsletters
- Library Services
- Preparation of Pitch Books
- Valuation Methodologies (SOTP, Relative Valuation, DCF)
- LBO and IPO analysis
Experience and qualifications:
- 1-4 years of Investment Banking Analytics experience
- MBA / CA / CFA
Key skills:
- Sourcing of relevant filings and in-depth understanding of financial statements
- Preparation, updating and interpretation of company comparables
- Preparation, updating and interpretation of precedent M&A transactions
- Valuation of companies by building comprehensive models using DCF, SOTP, and relative valuation techniques
- Specialization in Industrial and Consumer sector with experience in analyzing industry trends and evaluating
Business dynamics:
- Generating ideas and creating presentations as part of pitch books
- Good excel skills ( along with MS Word and MS Power Point capabilities)
- Hands on experience in using financial databases (Bloomberg, Capital IQ, Thomson Reuters, Factiva, Factset)
