Need of an Analyst & Associate for a Venture Capital Fund Investment team  As a part of a Venture Capital fund backed by a large private sector enterprise, you will work on entire transaction lifecycle of early-stage investments including in-depth market research, investment analysis, legal documents.  Key Responsibilities :  - Develop deep market understanding across sectors of interest  - Share market insights throughout the firm  - Identify and develop hypothesis for new investment ideas across sectors   - Support early stage investments across transaction cycle including quantitative and qualitative analysis, transaction documents, reports, etc.  - Prepare investment reports for management review  - Maintain and update relevant progress and process trackers and conduct suitable analysis on the same  - Participate and drive in the weekly/fortnightly updates within the firm as well as with other stakeholders  - Develop understanding of existing portfolio companies- business (market, competition, financial, technology, etc.)  - Liaise with different teams of portfolio companies to collect information and reports (updates on financial performance, recruitment, business development, technology development, etc.)  Additional Responsibilities for Associates :  - Deal sourcing for partners  - Deal screening  - Deal support / analysis / quant / legal for deals a partner is seriously considering  - Portfolio company support & analysis  - Portfolio community building  - Industry reviews  - VC firm admin  - VC firm policy or fund analysis  - Helping be the VC - presence- at key events  - Alumni activities  Educational Qualifications :  An MBA from one of Tier-I B-School in India / abroad plus a BE/BTech/CA with relevant work experience with a top firm  Relevant Experience : (1-3 years - Analysts) (4 to 7 years for Associates)  - Relevant work experience in Venture Capital / Private Equity / Investment Banking / Strategy Consulting (top Tier firms)  Personal Characteristics & Behaviors :  - Awareness of general macro - economic environment and financial markets   - Should possess exceptional written and oral communication skills (including high end presentation skills); Advanced excel skills is an added advantage  - Business and analytical mindset to understand new businesses  - Ability to tie analytic solutions to business/ industry value and outcomes  - Should possess sharp, logical and analytical thinking  - Should be self-motivated and driven with high degree of professionalism to work in a small and fast growing set-up   - Ability to work in a time-line driven environment  - Should possess excellent people management skills including mentoring and coaching   - Should be hands-on with capturing market-driven insights by speaking to relevant stakeholders and industry experts  - Ability to develop and articulate strategic recommendations based on rigorous data analysis  - Capable of managing Senior Management/CXO level communications and presentations   If this position interests you, please apply for the same.
