Job Description

A growing investment management firm based in the UAE is looking to hire an analyst to join its team. The person will assist in performing due diligence, analyzing transactions, generating new investment ideas, and completing portfolio administration tasks.

The Role

- Assist in due diligence process including reviewing company materials, analyzing financial information, and undergoing discussions with management in order to evaluate equity and credit based investment opportunities and develop an investment case for such opportunities

- Analyze and present qualitative and quantitative assessment on potential investment opportunities

- Research and present industry analysis across sectors and geographic markets

- Remain up to date on news events affecting portfolio companies and the global macro environment

- Generating new investment ideas to contribute to investment pipeline

- Prepare investment summaries for approval by the investment committee

- Complete portfolio monitoring including valuation tasks and regular reporting to investors

- Ad hoc reports and tasks as required

Requirements

- Top undergraduate degree with a strong GPA

- Master degree in quantitative subject or MBA preferred

- Minimum 2 years experience in investment banking, private equity, investment management, or mezzanine finance

- Strong analytical abilities including previous experience completing DCF or comparable company models

- Knowledge of financial accounting principles

- Passion for global financial markets and international investments

- Proficiency in Excel and Powerpoint, and working knowledge of Bloomberg preferred

- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

- Self starter and ability to work independently

- Ability to travel as needed
