Global Markets - Algo role - Analyst
Algorithmic Trading Strategies team is an integral part of the Global Markets division
- The aim of the team is to predict the likely future outcomes of financial markets and develop models. the team is comprised with members with varied backgrounds in Finance, Engineering and Physics, with strong and deep knowledge of modelling and computer science.
- Quant work involves many different skills and abilities, all of which centre around being able to solve complex quantitative problems in an accurate and timely way.
- The core function is to develop systematic trading strategies for financial markets, as well as develop models .
- Subsequently, the models are prototyped and put into production.
Other areas of quant activity include e-trading algorithms; pricing adjustments for capital, collateral and margin and general advisory to the firm on risk, valuation and systems issues.
Roles and responsibilities :
- Development of Algorithmic Trading Strategies for prop trading desks
- Working with traders and structurers to support Algorithmic Index Business
Key Skills :
- Basic understanding of Financial Markets and Instruments
- Programming ability in one or more of the following (C, C++, C#, Java, Python)
- Understanding of Derivative Pricing Theory
- Understanding of Time Series Analysis
- Understanding of Linear Algebra, Optimization
- Understanding of Machine Learning techniques
- Familiarity with Financial Databases, and ability to work with Relational Databases
