Role Objective:  - Responsible for providing legal advisory services and ensuring effective management of legal risks for HR, Corporate Communications, Marketing, IPR   - Effective supervision and control of secretarial function and statutory compliance.   Principal Accountabilities:  - Ensuring all activities and operations are performed in compliance with Local, provincial and central regulations & laws governing business operations  - Drafting and Vetting of legal documents/agreements/contracts to protect the best interest of the company and that they are in compliance with all statutory and legal requirements  - Provide legal protection and risk management advice on the issues relating to the role objective for the management to take appropriate decisions  - Handling litigation and ensuring personal liberty of employees is protected  - Review progress of outstanding litigation and liaise with and manage external lawyers  - Handling regulatory aspects pertaining to the areas and dealing with concerned regulatory authorities  - Advising on the offers and schemes pertaining to new and existing products, handling artwork approval, claims substantiation for the nutrition category  - Liaise with relevant departments to ensure legal risks have been identified and appropriate courses of action have been taken  - Review and advise the allocated departments on legal implications of internal policies and procedures  - Continuously monitor Statutory compliance and statutory obligations and advise management accordingly  - Prepare brief and obtain consultative opinions from external resources  - Keep abreast of regulatory developments within or outside of the company as well as evolving best practices in the Legal Field  Core Function/ Key responsibilities:  - Support to Nutrition and Wellness as its Category Legal Partner   A) Litigation   B) Contracting   C) Advisory   D) Vetting outgoing communication to general public such as product literature, labels, claims etc   - Litigation Management   A) Civil Litigation   B) Food Litigation   - Old Litigations pertaining to the HO, North and East Regions   - Monitor compliance with statutory obligations and advise management accordingly   - Oversee the company secretarial work  The candidate should be open for traveling & Manufacturing experience is mandatory.  Educational Qualification: Post Graduation in Law & Company Secretary  Experience: 8 - 12 years of Relevant Experience
