Job Description: - Overall day-to-day management of the Procure-to-Pay operations team. - Processing and disbursements of timely and accurate payments to Third parties, Merchants, Revenue Share Partners and Card members globally, while adhering to all the regulatory requirements and company guidelines / policies. - Manage the Employee T&amp;E Operations and lead the Relationship with the outsourced third party managing the ProcurementOperations. - Benchmark the operations with industry leading practices and implement the same within American Express to make it best-in-class. - Leverage cutting edge automation tools and technologies, including deployment of Robotic Process Automation, Chabot- s, Image Analytics, and Optical Character Recognition etc. to drive improved efficiency and superior customer experience. - Develop a culture of continuous improvement and create a frictionless customer experience. - Measure, report and deliver the measures of success and key outcomes of the Operations with the senior leadership by setting up a robust governance structure. - Ensure operational controls are in place and monitored against service level agreements and contract terms &amp; conditions (adherence to policies, operating procedures, control standards, meeting challenging deadlines and supervision of staff). - Oversight of day-to-day control performance of operations and service delivery including tracking daily metrics, oversight of operational processing queues, and escalation to management of daily operating issues across Accounts Payable, T&amp;E processing, Customer Helpdesk, Revenue Share Partners etc. - Perform a control self-assessment process (CSA); manage to close all CSA actions per schedule; and interface with Auditors during scheduled audits and ad hoc reviews. - Drive operational improvement projects across the department - Key operations stakeholder in strategic projects. - Regularly and constructively appraise staff on their performance in both formal and informal meetings. - Perform ad-hoc administrative and management reporting. - Build and maintain a strong rapport with the internal client base, location leads and global peers. - Responsible for budget management, employee hiring, training, discipline and evaluations. Guides staff in support of organization's mission and vision. - Participates in the various councils as assigned for policy/procedure development and operational improvements as well as external business facing committees. Qualifications: In line with the above, key requirements and qualifications include: Consistent, strong contributor with a proven track record of working in collaboration with global operations environment - MBA / CA with 15 to 20 years of experience of which at least couple of years should be in an operations leadership role. - Demonstrated knowledge of managing large global operations, preferably in the Procure-to-Pay domain. - Needs to have a strong understanding of Risk and Compliance, drafting policies, SOX adherence, Process Risk Assessment etc. with ability to manage internal and external regulatory audits. - Ability to assimilate large amounts of data, either related or unrelated, to draw relevant conclusions. Exceptional thought leader with the ability to work through unstructured problems and develop clear action plans. - Prior knowledge / exposure to implementing cutting edge automation technologies (Robotic Process Automation, Machine Learning, OCR etc.) and risks associated with the same in operations would be preferred. - Strong teamwork and change management skills, a willingness to embrace an operating environment that spans multiple time zones, virtual teams, multiple locations, cultures and superior attention to detail - Knowledge of translating business priorities into sound solutions that support the overall customer experience. Commitment to high quality of customer service is a must - Strong relationship management with the ability to influence others, both internally and externally. - Excellent written &amp; oral communication, interpersonal and conflict resolution skills. - Experience in driving large, complex initiatives. Prior experience in Process transformation would be an advantage. - Ability to comprehend and interpret various policies, procedures, laws and regulations - Ability to motivate, inspire and drive teams and individuals to achieve goals and objectives. - The preferred candidate should have a strong technical aptitude including strong project management, problem solving &amp; analytical skills. - Ability to coordinate multiple priorities at once.
