Technical Project Manager - Incumbent will be responsible for managing the project and scrum teams 1 or multiple. He/She should display leadership qualities and be enthusiastic in solving problems. He/She will report directly to the Engineering Director and will work with the Director and Product Managers for deliverables of the project. Responsibilities : - Works with stakeholders to define product objectives. Ability to maintain the product backlog and features to suggest optimal solutions to Product Team. - Creates and executes development plans and change them to meet changing needs and requirements. Owns the development lifecycle and is responsible for managing technical risks throughout the project. - Partner with customer operations to identify areas in need of improvement to bring automation and improve functionality on the product. - Should be able to estimate and size the enhancements in terms of effort for accomplishing the tasks. Should be able to understand a Work Break down of activities for Technical Tasks . Clearly identify dependencies and create a plan. - Understand technical issues and translate them into non-technical terminology - Understands Technical concepts on Programming. Namely Data Structures Algorithms, knowledge of Big Data Application frameworks ( Knowledge of Hive, Spark, Java and Python ), understands OO concepts. - Help the developers get clarity and ensure detailed requirements are available for the deliverables Qualifications : - Position requires a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field followed by 5+ years of industry managing projects on Big Data Technologies. - Good Understanding of Software development concepts. Technical ability to understand the technical issues and articulate and manage stakeholders based on the issue at hand. - Technical Understanding of Big Data architecture, Big Data applications systems design and integration. - The incumbent should have been a programmer or developer in his initial career.
