Job Description :

- Actionable business requirement documents with sign off from all stakeholders

- UAT test script documented. Robust UAT executed. UAT feedback compiled and appropriate action taken to resolve test failures

- Documented best practice guidelines.

- Written and telephone based communications with users.

- Appropriate action to highlight challenges and ensure resolution via correct channels.

- Timely resolutions of issues

- Project documentation including Requirement documents, UAT test results and project tracker

- High level of customer satisfaction

- Robust product implementations.

Responsibilities :

- This opportunity is in the fast-growing American Express Insights Products & Data Capabilities team that is developing new business opportunities, launching new products and services, and expanding product distribution to support merchant value and drive revenue growth.

- The team is focused on meeting the business needs of our merchants by creating information products and services that leverage the American Express closed-loop data. Ever since Insights Products & Data Capabilities team was formed, many new products and services have been launched.

- The vision for Insights Products & Data Capabilities team is to maximize the commercial opportunities for American Express through the use of our unique information to meet customer needs.

- American Express Insights Products & Data Capabilities team offers powerful data and actionable insights to help businesses improve performance and capitalize on new opportunities.

- Our unique core asset is our industry-leading global database of customer demographics and detailed spend behavior from the American Express network of cards conducting billions of transactions annually & globally. SMART is a business intelligence reporting tool that provides standardized reporting through an easy to access, self service interface.

Responsibilities of the candidate would include :

- Work with clients to identify, specify and document complex business requirements

- Review requirement and design documents with technology partners and business partners (as needed) to ensure requirements are captured accurately and optimally and design proposed by the technology is in line with the business requirements.

- Create / document / execute User Acceptance Test cases for new application capabilities

- Develop user best practices guidelines and provide consulting and training to business users

- Manage application issues and drive towards a speedy issue resolution.

- Lead new product implementations, preparing project plans and other supporting information, and providing project status

- Manage customer expectations including scope, schedule, changes, and problem resolution

- Drive on-time, high quality project deliverables

- Provide functional leadership to other members of the team Required Skills

- In depth knowledge of Business Intelligence platform/s from hands on product support or use

- Strong analytical skills including the ability to think through all aspects of complex business requirements and generate possible courses of action

- Strong business acumen and problem solving skills (issue identification, problem structuring, analysis, development of recommendations)

- Intermediate to advanced level of SAS/SQL programming skills

- Demonstrated ability to drive results and manage multiple relationships and projects, proven ability to adjust quickly to shifting priorities, multiple demands, ambiguity and rapid change

- Ability to prioritize and deliver work within a deadline-driven climate

- Demonstrated experience using systems development lifecycle, including the experience in the development, documentation and execution of business requirements in Agile Framework.

- Experience in creation & execution of User Acceptance test cases

- Strong Data warehousing skills

- Experience validating business requirements by testing code in SAS, NETEZZA and HIVE.

- Strong communication skills oriented toward working with customers to document their product needs

- Exceptional communication skills

- Team player with demonstrated ability in collaborating across customer and Technology organizations

- Ability to work Flexible hours including weekends as required

- Knowledge of BI Tools (JasperSoft/ Actuate etc) a strong plus

- Product support or use of a Business Intelligence platform

This role may be subject to additional background verification checks.

Qualification :

- 4+ years experience as a Business Analyst or Business Systems Analyst.

- Bachelors Degree is required, Masters degree is preferred
