Job Description : Function Description : Global Commercial Services (GCS) accounts for nearly 50% of American Express- card spend. GCS continues to be a fast growing business within American Express with the key objectives of accelerating growth, increasing profitability, and enhancing product value propositions to meet client needs. The Data, Strategy & Insights (DS&I) India team within GCS is instrumental in driving these objectives by providing actionable data driven insights and consultative solutions to sales, account development and product across the globe. The role is an exciting opportunity to be part of the GCS growth story in a dynamic, intellectually stimulating, open, fun and collaborative environment. DS&I team uses rich closed loop data to build internal and client facing analytical solutions. These solutions cater to the needs of GCS sales, ADs and senior leadership, who manage thousands of clients across various segments. This team will be responsible for developing these solutions to drive efficiency and scalability. Additionally, there is critical need to build a repository of self service off-the-shelf tools and data capabilities that can be leveraged by business users. - Project SPLENDID team is responsible for providing deep, actionable insights to GCS field/clients by analyzing the client's employee T&E expense data through their expense management system (primarily Concur), also leveraging the power of Amex's Integrated Network data. The key focus of the insights is to help field drive impactful conversations with clients to drive consultative value as well as highlight program spend gaps in their portfolio. As a result, they shall have clear view of spend shift (leakage) opportunities on Amex, ultimately translating into T&E charge volume growth story for us Purpose of the Role : - Lead the design, development and deployment of various insights/solutions that can be leveraged by GCS field/clients to drive T&E program optimization in their portfolio Responsibilities : - Proven track as a people leader. Will manage a team of two analysts to assist the Large & Middle Market field/clients with spend leakage insights on their expense data for driving expansion opportunities within GCS - Be a thought leader and demonstrate an innovative mindset. Should proactively partner with field and business leadership teams to provide expense data analytics and drive decisions that are critical for ongoing growth of GCS business - Work collaboratively within and across GCS teams to help drive strategic initiatives at enterprise-level through SPLENDID's offerings, wherever possible - Leverage Big Data platform/environment to develop business-relevant POCs and push the envelope of SPLENDID's innovation further - Be a change agent and lead the refinement of existing framework to further standardize the operating model within SPLENDID team Critical Factors to Success : - Conduct prototyping of insights products and services based on field/client needs - Strong communication and impactful articulation to power conversations and drive value and raise brand for himself/herself as the team - Resilient temperament to challenge the status quo and recommend re-defining strategies Qualifications : Past Experience : - At least 5 years of work exp in financial analytics, expense data/payments analytics etc. - Existing knowledge GCS business and metrics would be an added advantage Academic Background : - Minimum bachelor degree from reputed institute in Commerce - Master's degree in Commerce, Statistics, Finance/ Accounts Payable, Business or related fields (desired) Functional Skills/Capabilities : Mandatory Skills : - High attention to details and capable of analyzing large datasets and ability to generate effective insights through data visualization and analysis - Strong communication skills in order to be able to communicate clearly and concisely - Demonstrate teamwork with strong personal accountability, commitment and integrity - Ability to work in high-pressure situations and keep the team morale high Technical Skills/Capabilities : - Strong-hold on MS-Office suite of products (Advanced Excel and PowerPoint) - Good knowledge on Excel/SQL/SAS/HIVE Predictive modeling/Python Behavioral Skills/Capabilities : - Enterprise Leadership Behaviors - Set The Agenda : Define What Winning Looks Like, Put Enterprise Thinking First, Lead with an External Perspective- Bring Others With You : Build the Best Team, Seek & Provide Coaching Feedback, Make Collaboration Essential - Do It The Right Way : Communicate Frequently, Candidly & Clearly, Make Decisions Quickly & Effectively, Live the Blue Box Values, Great Leadership Demands Courage The Apply Button will redirect you to website.
