American Express - Manager - Advance Analytics - Business Strategy Execution

Business Strategy Execution - Centre of Excellence (BSE-CoE) is a growing organization within the Global Business Services(GBS) and that focuses on leveraging internal American Express data to helps business units improve their performance through business insights and advance analytical solutions. We are seeking a strong candidate with advanced analytics experience in the BSE Advanced Analytics team. In this role, the candidate will drive the BSE CoE effort in developing and implementing analytical solutions across different BUs and domains. The candidate will be responsible for developing analytical solutions/executing analysis that deliver valuable insights to various internal verticals of American Express. These solutions will be designed to present and deliver information for easy business consumption using state of the art business tools. The candidate will ensure data and analyses are of high quality and deployed with sound business sense. This is an outstanding opportunity in a high visibility role that will work very closely with senior business leaders within AXP to provide meaningful analytics and actionable insights that help in creating growth strategies.

Key Responsibilities :

- Understand business problem, demonstrate thought leadership and propose and build analytical framework /Solution Leverage business intelligence tools like Tableau, Microstrategy to create and manage various business intelligence reports/dashboards

- Liaise with AXP technology team to define tech requirements and support development of technology infrastructure

- Develop and implement statistical models for optimizing various business processes

- Communicates analytical insights through sophisticated synthesis and packaging of results (including PPT slides and charts)

- Strong relationship management skills with a proven track of positively collaborating & influencing internal and external partners

- Effective team player and be able to manage multiple projects

- Exceptional strategic and analytical thinking with experience working in a global environment

- Strong analytical and problem solving skills and a tremendous will to win Might need to lead a small team of analyst ( 2-4 )

Qualifications:

- Masters/Bachelors degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Business Administration, Engineering or Related Fields

- The incumbent must possess 7+ years of relevant experience

- Experience in analyzing data, drawing inferences and making recommendations. Knowledge of text analytics is a significant plus

- Proficiency in SAS/SQL/R. Advanced level of programming is a mandatory requirement

Prior experience of having led analytical team is a plus
