Job Description :&nbsp; - The American Express mission is to be the world's most respected service brand. This Engineering Director position is responsible for leading the engineering and delivery to design and build for Global Services Group. - Lead technology delivery of the Global Relationship Servicing applications which are primarily based on PEGA PRPC/CPM, Java, and .Net. - Manage multiple agile software product development teams that realize the company's technology vision and strategy in a scalable, iterative environment. - Deliver software solutions that meet or exceed customer and stakeholder expectations, often helping shape business requirements in a manner that optimally leverages technology teams. - Deliver software that provides superior user experiences, linking customer needs and business drivers together through innovative product engineering. - Own accountability for all quality aspects and metrics, including system performance, platform availability, operational efficiency, risk management, information security, data management and cost effectiveness. - Drive Technical Execution Strategy for Global Services Group Technology (GSGT) for: API, One Amex, Cloud, PIVOT, Automation Tool adoption and execution, Technical Governance in partnership with Principal Architecture team. - Manage key business relationships for the day to day management and delivery of capabilities. - Work with key stakeholders to drive software solutions that align to strategic roadmaps, prioritized initiatives and strategic technology direction. Qualifications :&nbsp; - 10+ years of experience leading software engineering teams, designing and building software products in a fast paced, complex and dynamic product development environment. - Proven ability to drive results. - High level and proven thought leadership experience, with an ability to develop and execute successful strategies. - Proven ability to effectively manage business relationships. - Strong technical acumen and hands-on engineering skills - Demonstrated strong People Leadership, including mentoring, up-skilling, and coaching. - Innovative leader with proven experience developing customer servicing applications. - Proficient managerial skills as required to operate a large organization, including budgeting, resource planning, staff management, etc. - Proven ability to drive decisions and results in a large, complex environment. - Bachelorâ€™s degree in Computer Science and/or relevant technical discipline required.
