- This Director will report to the VP of Security Engineering and be a part of the global Information Security organization and a core member of the India Information Security leadership team.

- The Director Quality Assurance and Automation is responsible for leading a Quality Assurance and Automation team within the Security Engineering organization.

- The successful candidate is expected to hire, mentor, and lead a QA team to establish a QA program, develop necessary test technologies and develop quality metrics to ensure that the products and services developed by the Security Engineering teams meet the standards required by American Express.

Job Responsibilities :

- Provide leadership and strategic direction to the Software Quality Assurance and Automation team.

- Prioritize project / product validation testing, resources, support requirements and test methodologies.

- Utilize dashboards tools from Rally to ensure that the QA team is on track to drive and close issues / bugs while working closely alongside Software development teams.

- Gain and maintain an in-depth knowledge of all security products and services developed and maintained by the Security Engineering team.

- Drive continuous improvement through the strengthening of quality tools, processes and systems, recommending appropriate skills, infrastructure and process improvements required to achieve business objectives.

- Utilize fact / data driven metrics and communications tools to promote and manage the deliverables of the product quality team, promotes cross-functional communication and ensures adequate information flow within the organization.

- Motivate and lead the team. Attract, recruit, and retain team members. Provide mentoring and career development and succession planning.

- Manage department and overall expectations pertaining to setting accurate schedules, costs and resources

- Analyze test results and develop test improvement plans

- Provide support in development of enterprise network security architecture and engineering for assigned areas of responsibility

- Provide direction to application development teams to ensure projects align with security strategy

- Lead efforts to implement new technology concepts, identifies enhancements and help evolve existing platform

- Direct new vendor selection, POCs, and detailed assessments for new partnerships

Qualifications :

- Bachelor's Degree, advanced degree preferred

- 10 yrs of total experience and 5 years working as a Manager or Director of QA

- Hands-on experience in developing test framework, test cases, test automation, performance measurement, and quality metrics.

- Strategy development and strong technical leadership experience

- Track record of innovation, results and ability to collaborate and affect change across functions

- Proven ability to coordinate with external geographically separated teams to drive results

- Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal, presentation and negotiation skills

- Demonstrated collaboration skills along with the ability to influence without authority.

- Relevant professional certifications a plus
