This team is the single largest unit of American Express addressing the servicing needs of all American Express clients and customers globally across multiple locations and channels.Management Information and Decision Science team is responsible for Executive decision support through advanced analytics and MIS, helping the organization to exploit our competitive advantage and capitalize on the unique asset of Relationship Care to drive customer engagement to deepen loyalty with our customers and drive brand advocacy.   Team has a global footprint and this position will be based out of the American Express Service Center in Gurgaon, India.   Responsibilities of this role include:   - Leading a team of high performing & skilled Managers (including Statisticians) and Analysts  - Rendering consultative and decision support to World Service leadership team towards improved margin, operational effectiveness and customer engagement through advanced Statistical techniques and Data mining.   - Flawless execution of the development, validation and implementation of statistical projects   - Participate on global teams evaluating processes and making suggestions for process and system improvements  - Interacting with all levels of the organization across multiple time zones.   Qualification:  - Strong strategic thought leadership and problem solving skills with ability to solve unstructured and complex business problems .   - Strong written and verbal communication skills especially at the executive level . Ability to distill complex analytics concepts into straight forward business approach .   - Strong executive presence and collaborative/interpersonal skills .   - Track record of attracting and retaining top talent and working with a global team across multiple time zones; ability to engage and inspire a team .   - Results driven with strong project management skills, ability to work on multiple priorities and keep team on track to exceed goals .   - Atleast 5 years of background in quantitative business analysis.   - Experience in advanced statistical and modeling techniques  Knowledge of statistical software (SAS, SQL, Machine Learning) and manipulating large and complex data sets. Advanced Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Econometrics, Operations Research or in a related quantitative field preferred.  Shift Timings : 8:30am-9:00pm (any 8.5 hours on a rotational basis).
