- Respond to HR queries via the ER Service phone line and email inbox and Review and update HR policies and procedures

- Provide comprehensive advice on all aspects of the employment relationship

- Develop relationships with business leaders and HR RL's when working in partnership on identified strategic initiatives which have an ER impact by scoping and providing project management expertise to achieve business goal

- Review ER trends, assess impact and develop/implement solutions

- Drive continuous review and benchmarking activities to ensure ER service is best in class

- Conduct Grievance Investigations under the Grievance and Complaints Procedure and under the India based Policies

- Manage the ER Impact of any business related change management.

- Understand, interpret and analyze changes in India Employment Law in order to develop proactive solutions whilst maintaining compliance

- Understand and align to HR Relationship Model

- Communicate effectively with HR colleagues on issues which impact their business area

- Harness and develop new and existing technology to drive efficient and cost effective service delivery to the business

- Deliver ad hoc projects

- ER Analytics- making of dashboards and creation/maintenance of data

Critical Challenges: 

- Maintain appropriate level of AMEX business knowledge

- Identify trends and proactively address risk areas

- Maintain consistent approach to ER across business units whilst understanding and ensuring that a customized solution is offered

- Maintain appropriate level of overall Business, HR (including ER) knowledge

- Foster effective partnerships with the business and HR Community in order to facilitate effective HR Delivery

- Change management agent

- Ensure underlying Company values based ethos is demonstrated in all employee focused transactions

- Continuous process measurement and improvement

- Maintain strong external industry/professional focus

- Open to travel to any location within India for work related travel

Qualification:

- Post-Graduation Degree or equivalent in HR from Tier 1 Institute

- ER experience or HR Generalist with strong focus on ER

- Business Acumen-Financial Services & Banking Industry Knowledge

Required Skills:

- Expert application / interpretation of India legislation across all key HR Policies

- Self-starter with effective Communication and Presentation skills (Written and Verbal)

- Proven track record of effectively managing multi-location and multi-level stakeholders

- Sound analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving and negotiating skills, with the ability to understand broad HR issues and to resolve conflict situations

- Competence to effectively manage multiple tasks and priorities within stringent timelines

- Demonstrated ability to influence without authority

- Strong collaboration mindset with proven capability to work with cross-functional teams

- Innovative and Breakthrough Thinking aptitude

- Effective change and project management skills

- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft tools skill (Excel, Visio & Power point)
