Key Skills Required :

- The ideal candidate should have minimum 2 years of relevant work experience covering the Indian economy and has worked in the brokerage industry or has done corporate economics.

Functional :

- A keen interest in Economics and a working knowledge of the Indian Economy as well as related nuances. Superior - writing skills are a must.

Behavioral :

- Ability to work under time pressure and adhere to deadlines, Strong analytical and interpretative skills, Self driven and Excellent communication skills.

Technical (Software / IT related) :

Strong on Excel, word and power point - Very important

Key Role Responsibilities :

- To provide economic analysis and recommendations to the sales team/Senior Analysts,

- Understanding of the structure of the Indian economy and presenting it commercially, interpreting high frequency data, forecasting, reportwriting,selling ideas to internal clients, regular & timely follow up of economy-related events.

- Investment advising

- Interaction with internal (sales) and external clients on sector and company updates, published research

- Maintaining data and records in a systematic manner

- Maintenance of relationships with policy experts wherein one needs to get a meeting for a client or sales independently

- Independently prepare notes/ emails, idea generation

Additional Certifications :

- Work experience with Government bodies like the Ministry of Finance or RBI an added plus.

- Having published a paper in a recognized journal or any other form of publication will be an added plus.
