Amazon's BISS EU team (Business, Industrial, Scientific and Supplies) is seeking an experienced Vendor Manager to help accelerate Amazon's Industrial and Scientific businesses, which encompass Industrial Tools & Instruments, Test and Measurement, Janitorial and Sanitation, 3D Printing, Hardware, Material Handling, Occupational Health & Safety, Lab Supply, Professional Medical Equipment, and many others. As Vendor Manager you will manage Amazon's relationships with BISS vendors, owning and driving the business in key segments of the industry across Europe. You will be responsible for the growth of the business in the given segments, increasing available selection, improving site content and driving a great experience for Amazon's customers. The successful candidate must be highly organized and should have experience in planning, forecasting, and a business background in retail, wholesale or e-commerce channel sales. The right candidate will be flexible, action and results oriented, and self-starting. Amazon's environment is very fast-paced, and requires someone who is highly enthusiastic, flexible, detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable working with multiple teams and management. The Vendor Manager will play a critical role in helping to launch and grow BISS across all five European marketplaces (UK, DE, FR, IT, ES). This is your chance to make history. The position is based in Amazon's India headquarters located in Bangalore.

Responsibilities:

- Support the sourcing strategy (direct/ indirect supply, priority brands and selection) for one or more of the key segments of the BISS category

- Increase selection available for customers of websites operated by Amazon in Europe

- Support the establishment of long term relationships with leading brands and supporting the establishment of vendor agreements

- Support the execution of technical integration with suppliers and support projects to more efficiently source stock and assimilate vendor catalogs

- Assist the In-stock Management team in inventory management/ improvement activities

- Assist vendors to set-up promotions and merchandising activities and coordinate with the Site Merchandising team to execute these initiatives

- Participate in day-to-day back office operational aspects of the category, including gathering and addressing customer feedback & business improvement initiatives

- Be an ambassador of Amazon for the BISS category, developing deep knowledge of supply/ demand trends and success drivers

Basic Qualifications:

- Graduate preferably with an engineering degree and a work experience of 4+ years

- Strong business judgment with a track record of successfully leading negotiations and overall vendor relationship management with senior level counterparts.

- Candidate must be fluent in English and preferably one other European language.

- Excellent communication and proven analytical skills, including advanced experience of Excel including Macros, Pivot Tables, V-Lookups

- A track record of proven success in past positions

- Ability to think strategically and tactically

- Tenacity to develop ideas independently and thrive in a fast-paced start-up environment is essential for success.

Preferred Qualifications:

- MBA studies is a plus

- Additional European languages are a plus

- Previous experience in the industrial and scientific sector is a plus
