Amazon Seller Services is looking for an experienced Sr Product Manager to drive Product Management for the Amazon Global Selling business. Amazon Global Selling is an important initiative to grow the Amazon Marketplace Seller Business around the world, with the India team focusing on helping Indian sellers list on other Amazon global marketplaces. This person will be responsible for defining a product roadmap and local requirements for the platform to help Indian sellers list on global marketplaces in coordination with the Global Product team. He/she will work with a growing, international team of Product Managers, Software Development Engineers and Operations Program Managers responsible for the growth and success of this segment of our business. This person will be responsible for designing a simple product offering for Indian sellers that solves the complexities of cross-border trade and will also closely work with global teams to bring feature parity with product initiatives in other locales. This business will play an important role in Amazon’s mission to be the place where customers can find and discover anything they want to buy on Earth.

The ideal candidate has experience is cross border trade or international logistics or air freight, understands the processes, regulations, compliance and operations required in selling internationally.

As part of the Global Selling Product team, the Sr Product Manager will be responsible for knowing, in depth, Amazon seller tools as well as the competitive landscape, innovating to help sellers be more efficient and successful, and working as part of a team to drive key initiatives with an emphasis on seller success. The position is based in Bangalore but may require travel abroad.

Primary Responsibilities:

Product strategy and direction: Understands cross border trade/international logistics, can define and design shipping solution and operation process to support Global Selling, provide consultancy and technical support of new shipping initiatives, investigate trade compliance of relative laws and regulations to first line sales and other functions in relation. Can analyze seller requirements/ objectives and work with Logistics Team for developing appropriate solutions with well-defined value propositions. Responsible for both long term strategy and short term plans to achieve the product vision and deliver business results. Simplify complexities of global selling related to cross border trade, regulations, taxes, shipping, returns, and customer service through our product offering. Analyze opportunities, develop and implement strategies and business plans to grow the Global Selling business.

Roadmap Planning: Ensure consistent execution of product lifecycle processes from concept to launch. Provide value-based prioritization of product development initiatives to ensure maximum ROI and market-driven alignment. Deliver world-class innovation in features, usability and product performance in consistent cadence of releases. Manage a cross-functional process for prioritizing, delivering and launching major product releases. Be the internal and external authority and advocate for your given area of focus. You will also lead and coordinate the service launch across all organizations.

Requirements Definition: Develop comprehensive product plans, incorporating market requirements, define the competitive arena, and establish the objectives, strategies, and actions required to achieve business goals. Produce high quality MRDs and PRDs and effectively prioritize and manage the scope of each product launch to deliver key capabilities on time and on budget. Writes user stories to communicate customer needs in an Agile development environment. Work closely with Compliance, Legal and Tax on regulations and compliance requirements to eliminate seller adoption bottlenecks.

Product Roll-out: Create and execute go-to-market plans for new features. Monitor key performance metrics to ensure product performance and identify optimization opportunities. Partner closely with the Sale and Business Development leaders to drive adoption and ensure processes for on boarding that are easy and intuitive.

Seller Success:

Drive product innovation to improve self-service capabilities for sellers to achieve and grow global online sales success. Drive innovations to all elements of the seller experience to improve their business results post implementation.

Basic Qualifications

- Experienced in international trade & shipping practices, and Customs regulations and procedures

- 6+ years of Product Management or equivalent experience delivering software or online products to market.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, or a related field.

- Extensive experience in product, program, and/or project management in leading cross-functional teams in delivery of major new products or services in eCommerce, retail, logistics, supply chain, internet products or related fields.

- Experience defining market and product requirements, working with engineering and ops organizations to rapidly deliver high-impact capabilities to market.

- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to create compelling positioning/messaging strategy and present complex information clearly and concisely.

- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to use data and metrics to justify requirements, features and drive management of product.

- High attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously with minimal supervision.

- Collaborative working style. Must work well in a team environment.

- Must have bias for action and strong work ethic.

- Proven ability to deliver first class customer experiences with a deep understanding of UX best practices.

Preferred Qualifications

Have general knowledge of e-commerce and target market segments (e.g. apparel, jewelry, home), processes, industry standards, and the current business trends.
