Job Description:

Amazon.in Consumables team is seeking a creative, analytical, and highly motivated Senior Marketing Manager to develop, execute, and evaluate merchandising, marketing, and site experience.

- This role will drive invention and improvements in the overall look, feel, and navigation of the site, provide guidance to the development of the category’s editorial content, style guidelines, and merchandising calendar, create marketing programs to acquire new customers, and develop innovations in customer experience.

- The ideal candidate must be able to think and act both strategically and tactically, be an innovative leader who is data driven, an effective communicator, capable of handling multiple projects at once, thrives in a rapidly - changing environment, and has strong communication and people management skills.

Responsibilities include:

- Own projects with considerable scope and/or complexity with significant impact on customer experience and Amazon’s business

- Own all key traffic drivers for the category, and work as a category advocate with central traffic teams

- Possess a deep understanding of all traffic-driving mechanisms (Search, Affiliates, Email, SEO etc.) and actively engaging in optimization of those channels for the business.

- Work with cross functional teams and internal teams, including technology teams, to define, drive, and launch improvements to the shopping experience.

- Own creation of marketing programs, and multiple key traffic drivers, to acquire new customers.

- Conceptualize, design and execute online and offline marketing initiatives to extend awareness of our products on and off of Amazon.

- Develop, test, and execute aggressive multi-channel marketing plans to drive customer acquisition and authority

- Conduct in-depth analyses to determine program effectiveness and to continuously improving programs and site initiatives

- Develop the category’s editorial direction, style guidelines, merchandising calendar, promotions, and coop packages.

- Understand and use merchandising and customer-facing metrics to guide decision making.

- Present to senior management externally and internally

- Meet business goals while ensuring a top-notch customer experience

Basic Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree

- 5+ years of experience in project management, online experience, consulting, or retail

- Experience with project leadership requiring coordination of cross-team resources and persistence to accomplish goals

- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects - prioritization, planning and task delegation

Preferred Qualifications:

- MBA preferred

- Experience in fast moving consumer goods or eCommerce/retail preferred

- Experience with driving Digital as well as BTL initiatives

- Ability to manage large numbers of initiatives and competing priorities

- Ability to deal with ambiguous problems and build solutions with proper project management

- Ability to deliver both tactical and long-term priorities

- Strong proficiency in analysis tools including Microsoft Excel, SQL

- Experience in managing high potential teams and communicating to senior management

- Outstanding writing, presentation and communication skills

- Ability to influence multiple stakeholders and lead cross-functional projects across category or other departments

- Proven ability for being organized with flexibility and for delivering results in a fast-paced environment
