Amazon is looking for an experienced Operations Senior Manager for Digital Imaging Services (DIS) organization. DIS delivers all post-production activities (i.e. quality assurance, re-touching, etc.) for product images rendered on worldwide Amazon websites and some of its subsidiaries. As Operations Senior Manager for DIS, your thought leadership will define the strategy for delivering industry leading, trend setting, and imaging innovations, for our customers through automation, process improvements and productivity gains. You will be responsible for ensuring financial compliance for the organization; setting organizational goals; and delivering within agreed timeliness and quality service level agreements (SLA). As a part of the broader global Product Imaging leadership team, you will work proactively with studios, finance and technical teams to deliver on shared metrics. Superior critical thinking and problem-solving abilities are a must, along with the ability to manage competing priorities between and across business groups. RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop and own roadmap for increased automation, cost optimization and productivity improvements

Develop and implement detailed Business Continuity Plans (BCP)

Analyze long-term capacity and capability needs and integrate those needs into the annual budget planning process

Ensure DIS meets all SLAs

Integrate customer feedback/data to identify and solve for complex imaging issues or opportunities

Create and maintain a strong culture of customer obsession and innovation within the team

Management of local and remote teams; provide leadership, mentoring, training, development and performance management to operational and creative leaders

10+ years of operations experience with at least 5 years of people management and at least 3 years of end-to-end ownership of large-scale operational processes

Experience in establishing, measuring, and meeting service level agreements

History of improving availability, performance, and quality of systems

Experience in employing Kaizen and Lean production techniques in improving operations

A proven track record of successfully managing medium-to large sized teams

Experience in starting up new services, delivering productivity and automation improvements, on-time and within budget

Experience with multi-national companies, working with customers across the world

Demonstrated ability to hire and develop strong operations teams

Outstanding attention to detail; Exceptional problem solving & analytical skills

Excellent communications skills and the ability to influence people and gain results outside of a direct reporting line

Ability to operate both strategically and tactically in a high-energy, fast-paced environment

Strong verbal and written English language communication skills

Bachelor's degree

Up to 20% travel required

A passion for innovation and raising the bar in teams, technology, and projects

Proven ability to utilize leading-edge technologies and LEAN/Six Sigma methodologies to drive improvement in operational processes

Business analysis acumen, with substantive experience measuring the success of a complex business process and proposing new business opportunities.

Master's Degree
