Amazon India is seeking an experienced Marketing Leader to drive the social shopping engagement charter for the organization. Creating a robust customer base that engages frequently with Amazon is the biggest asset we create and this role is at the epicenter of it, right from creating the engagement vision and roadmap and driving long-term life time value of the customer. It is a high visibility role and is required to set direction and drive a bold vision across a large internal and external stakeholders, set across the category, marketing, product, and technology teams and also external content publishers and social media influencers. This role will design and execute marketing programs and experiences with the end objective of driving social shopping behavior, invest in rapid experimentation that powers - n- scalable, automated programs that help the organization build a highly engaged customer base. The role will also recognize the vast heterogeneity of India, content marketing, and social community-based experiences, and work with machine learning/ technology to deliver the most impactful and relevant engagement experiences through best-in-class personalization and customer targeting. This role requires someone with a demonstrated record of analytical rigor, creative problem solving, flawless execution and a proven track record of delivering results through influence. The Role: - As a Marketing Manager, you will create the vision for a series of marketing programs and experiences with an emphasis on social media, community engagement, content marketing and social shopping behavior that engage customers at scale and eventually create long-term value on Amazon. - You will also invest in nimble, rapid experimentation around social content and community experiences and build a robust measurement framework to establish best practices and evangelize across the organization. You will also establish strong mechanisms to communicate success stories and inspire a large set of stakeholders to adopt the best strategies that drive high-value actions at scale. - You will lead this vision across x-functional teams including category marketing, product, deals &amp; events, managed and owned traffic channels, machine learning &amp; personalization teams and external publishers/influencers to drive scalable, impactful programs that drive high-value actions for the organization. - You will also work with analytics and consumer insights teams to develop a deep understanding of social shopping behaviors and user insights specific to segments and cohorts related to cross-category shopping and work with product/ marketing managers to curate experiences that drive cross-category shopping and increase the community interactions and time spent on Amazon. - You will also build strong relationships with the US/Seattle Teams and co-own the roadmap for porting/ customizing the most relevant experiences and experiments for India. It is a highly visible and strategic role; you are required to set this function up for the organization ground up and be inventive about creating delightful x-category shopping experiences and features. Initially, you may be an army of 1 or with a small team, but this is an opportunity for you to create and execute the vision of driving share of wallet and customers- long-term contribution on Amazon. Who you are: - You are someone who is known for being passionate about consumer engagement and driving long-term contribution. You are extremely collaborative and inspires bold vision across a large stakeholder set. - You have an established background in creating strong, impactful social/ community-based consumer engagement and CRM programs which have created a significant impact on driving loyalty, stickiness and time spent on experience. - You are highly analytical and numerate and will steer scalable programs backed by strong data and customer insight. You may have an established background in creating customer-facing experiences and programs. - You are extremely driven and build strong x-functional relationships and have a stellar record of influencing for impact. Ambiguity doesn't faze you and you have significant experience in creating/ envisioning marketing charters ground up. Additional Responsibilities: - Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal and analytical skills; the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and persuasively across different audiences and varying levels of the organization. - Ability to develop creative, effective approaches to difficult challenges - Understanding of social, online, offline, and partner marketing strategy development and channel execution - Ability to create strong experiment/ test frameworks, as well as document and present your findings. - The ability to manage ambiguity and work autonomously - The ability to meet ambitious deadlines and deliver high-quality work on schedule - Excellent organizational and data analysis skills; ability to derive actionable conclusions from large data sets. Must be comfortable with advanced Excel/SQL and capable of managing large data sets to derive actionable insights. - Experience in influencing multiple stakeholders and leading cross -functional teams across multiple locales and business units - Proven success in delivering results in a fast - paced, rapid-growth environment Basic qualifications: - Master's degree in marketing or business - 10+ years- experience in social media and digital marketing, particularly in product management, customer engagement experiences and CRM programs - Preferably with experience in social media community programs and influencer marketing - Proven track record of delivering marketing campaigns with an emphasis on social media marketing Preferred Qualifications: 1. MBA or equivalent: - Strong leader/ visionary who can prioritize well and communicate clearly across all levels and multiple functions in an organization. - Demonstrated ability to create, execute vision and inspire bold direction and drive shared goals across x - functional stakeholders 2. Comfortable with technology, analytics, and product teams - Demonstrated track record of creative problem solving; thinks big, start small and grows fast 3.
