The Senior Investigations Manager, working with Security & Loss Prevention (SLP) team, will implement the investigative framework for Amazon SLP Operations and partner with local and regional LPM to mitigate risk of theft, fraud and other high impacting incidents. This person will be an operational subject matter expert on investigations and maintenance of analytical techniques and have the ability to share their expertise with associates at Amazon locations within the SLP. The Senior Investigations Manager is a key member of the Security & Loss prevention support services team and reports to the SLP Senior Manager - India Operations. The position will work with fulfillment center operational teams, as well as cross-functional teams throughout the organization. The position will interact with numerous partners to drive goals and ensure appropriate controls are in place. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication skills, use discretion when dealing with sensitive matters, and the ability to work in a fast paced, evolving environment. The position is field based in BLR.

Responsibilities

- The purpose of the role is to be a member of the SLP Security & Loss prevention support team and undertake investigations on the following.

Particularly: 

a) Large, serious or organized theft or Fraud; by internal staff at FC, Amazon Logistics, or corporate locations. 

b) High impact crime targeting amazon, 3P vendors, merchants, transportation, and customers 

c) Counterfeit selling and /or money laundering 

d) Arson/criminal damage, Violence against the person and any other matter as directed by SLP Sr. Manager India Operations.

- Provide investigative services and guidance for Amazon. SLP and work with cross-functional teams throughout the organization (TRMS, PQ, Legal, Human Resources, Finance, Field Security and Loss Prevention, related software teams, IT and Fraud Security, and other related areas).

- Manage & maintain inventory loss and investigation monitoring tools to be used throughout the SLP network

- Develop & innovate intelligence process using technology to identify MO's, loss hot spot, and crime trends; then disseminate to the LP team - Maintain global loss and investigative metrics including a comprehensive case management system.

- Assist with complex SLP investigations.

- India Loss Prevention 

- Assist with oversee training and professional development of junior investigator.

- Develop and maintain relationships with international, national/regional and local law enforcement agencies and Manage third-party suppliers of domestic and international investigative services.

Basic Qualifications

- Six (6) plus years of experience managing investigations. Overall Security/Loss prevention experience of 15 plus years. Proven ability to conduct serious fraud investigations

 - Reviewing Investigations conducted by field teams and presenting its senior management. 

- Experience in managing and analyzing case management database

 - Experience in data mining techniques and related analytics to detect patterns. 

- Knowledge & experience of the law as it applies to interviews, arrest, and the judicial process 

- An ability to travel 30-45% (domestic and international); may increase at times.

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in security or related field.

 - PCI/CFE/CPP or similar certifications qualification 

- Knowledge of loss prevention mitigation techniques applicable to distribution centre and supply chain.
