In this context, Amazon Services has established a Channel Sales Support organization which supports the seller recruitment groups with   - Pre-sales lead generation to help Account Managers recruit new sellers and   - Through/post sales seller on boarding to help sellers with listing their products on the Amazon Marketplace.   Leads Management team (part of the Amazon Merchant Services group) supports the International Sales teams in lead generation and lead qualification activities for the entire gamut of Amazon services. Leads management team works in collaboration with a Product Development team to deliver high quality leads to the sales organizations across the globe.  - The Leads Management team is looking for a seasoned Research Scientist to accelerate the growth of Amazon Seller business. You will use complex statistical and mathematically approaches to identify the next biggest growth area for Amazon.   - You will have the opportunity to work directly with senior leadership in India and Europe. As a leader you will work with a team of Business Analyst and provide direction to the team on the highest priority for the business to focus on.  - A successful candidate knows and loves working with big data, apply a wide range of statistical techniques to answer business challenges, they have outstanding business acumen and a restlessness to answer the why questions. He or she will be responsible for researching, experimenting, analyzing forecasting strategies, and mathematical models and also prototype the implementation.   Basic Qualifications :   - Bachelors degree in Machine Learning, Data Mining, Statistics, Applied Mathematics or a related field and 3 or more years of industry experience.  - Two or more years of experience in machine learning with domain knowledge and experience in the following areas: data-driven statistical modeling, discriminating methods, feature extraction and analysis, supervised learning.  - Three or more years of industry experience or academic research applying statistical techniques to real-world data   - Fluency in a high-level modeling language such as R.   Preferred Qualifications :   - Superior communication and data presentation skills  - Demonstrated ability to own projects end-to-end and work on cross-functional teams  - Experience with large data sets (10 million+ rows).  - A natural curiosity and desire to learn.  - Ability to convey rigorous mathematical concepts and considerations to non-experts.  - Ability to distill problem definitions, models, and constraints from informal business requirements; and to deal with ambiguity and competing objectives.  - Experience with programming languages such as Python, Java, C++  - Knowledge of relational databases (SQL).  - Applied experience building/evaluating predictive models is desirable.  - A good understanding of analysis of algorithms and computational complexity is desirable. Distributed programming experience is highly recommended.
