Amazon is currently looking for "Production Manager" who will exhibit expert knowledge of industry standard practices in multiple categories of production, Creates regional standard processes that are in line with global initiatives, Operates with significant autonomy, Influences across functions, May manage teams, Ambassador for Production across business platforms. . This role will include the development of more efficient systems, reducing internal costs and improving and implementing new programs.

Responsibilities include:

Talent Booking

- Develops the talent management and booking strategy across studios

- Partners with studios globally to standardize talent booking processes and tools

- Ensure freelance talent rating process is adhere to and devises measure of quality and creative efforts

- Interprets creative direction to ensure the appropriate talent is booked and guides rate conversation budget planning

- Manages team execution of creative direction set by creative leadership and ensures the quality bar on talent is being met

- Oversees budget and financial reporting for the Production function across multiple studios

- Partners to define and implement regional legal and finance policies for talent bookings

- Strong negotiation skills

- Strong understanding of legal contracts and usage to advise legal teams on industry standards

Vendor and Database Management

- Creates and maintains ongoing relationships with external vendor leads and legal teams and acts as primary point of contact for contract terms and rate negotiations

- Participates in the development of contract terms with external parties and drives term execution

- Responsible for ensure ongoing legal compliance with external vendors on service agreements

- Responsible for tracking current status of legal agreements and communicating to larger group

- Maintains database of relevant Production documents and ensure group information is up to date and easily accessible to partners

- Ensure policies, procedures and best practices are documented and maintained

Process Improvement

- Identifies appropriate metric to develop departmental reports to provide visibility to capture opportunities and threats

- Strategically collaborates with business partners to ensure studio will meet future talent demands

- Evaluates production policies, procedures, and budgets and identifies opportunities for standardizing where possible

- Develops strategy for on-going competitive research and analysis

- Lead deep dive efforts and connects to larger business initiatives

- Responsible for training of regional Producers

- Partners with business teams to develops ongoing trainings for group

- Leads team calls ensuring group communication

People Management

- Continuously builds network of talent inside and outside of company

- Demonstrates performance and leadership bar across multiple levels and able to applies to hiring decisions

- Creates mechanisms to help onboard all new Producers to organization, mentors others

- Effective at coaching and giving feedback to direct reports to help develop talent and support career development

- Sets goals across team to optimize performance against department goals and employee development

- Applies performance standards to team

- Identifies resource needs for team and creates formal trainings and self-assessment surveys for IDP development

- Describes strategic importance of vision inside and outside of team

- Sets and articulates expectations around leadership behavior for team, models behavior that exemplifies the leadership principles

Basic qualifications

- Equivalent experience of MBA from a premium institute

- Proven experience successfully delivering results

- Strong leadership and team building capabilities with the ability to impact cross-functionally taking constructive input

- Advanced Microsoft Office user

- Exceptional collaboration and organization skills

- Strong formal and informal, written and verbal communication skills

- Possess strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to set priorities, multi-task and meet deadlines

- Demonstrate strong listening, problem solving skills

Preferred qualifications

- Demonstrated implementation of process improvement programs considered an asset

- Experience in a leadership role within a creative environment, with an emphasis on e-commerce studio

- Experience hiring, developing, and managing a team

- Demonstrate strong listening, problem solving skills

- Exceptional collaboration and organization skills
