Product Manager - Brand Direct - The Brand Direct team's mission is to make Amazon the partner of choice for motivated Manufacturers, Entrepreneurs and Direct to Customer brand owners to establish &amp; scale their Brands, thereby creating a funnel of high quality selection at the best prices for Amazon Customers. We achieve this by providing these Brand Owners with a suite of tools that solve for their key need gaps spanning across use cases of product development, concept development, market development and ongoing brand management. - As the product manager, you will define product offerings which are innovative and will simplify the experience for Brands Selling on Amazon, while improving customer experience and accounting for each geography's legal requirements. You will also drive the execution of these initiatives by working with technology teams and business teams like the Amazon Launchpad &amp; Amazon Accelerator teams, Retail Category Teams, Finance, and Seller Services Teams to set strategy, set high standards, define the product roadmap, and make the hard, high-judgment trade-offs between customer experience, performance, features, and speed-to-market. - We are seeking someone with demonstrated history of successfully owning a large complex consumer problem and leading a cross-functional team, directly or through influence. - An understanding of, and passion for, technology is highly desired. The ideal candidate will be innovative, team oriented, an effective communicator, have a desire to participate in change and appreciate a dynamic environment with rapidly changing priorities. You will own the product roadmap planning and feature definition as well as pricing, pricing model innovation, and P&amp;L optimization. - You will own marketing in positioning, promotion, and sales enablement. We need business owners who can scale in perspective from strategic vision development with direct interaction with the Senior Leadership team to tactical product development and sales execution. There are no product requirements documents thrown over the wall to the development team in this business. We value product managers who want to sit with the developers and dig into the details as owners of the service where we define, develop, and ship new services and features in periods measured in months. Basic qualifications: - - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Maths, Finance, Business, or a related field - 3 + years of product/program management in e-commerce or consumer internet space, or strategy consulting experience in technology focused business - Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and effectively with different functional groups, developers, business owners, and senior business leaders - Proven ability to collaborate with and effectively influence remote teams in multiple time zones - Extensive experience in product, program, and/or project management in leading cross-functional teams in delivery of major new products or services in e-commerce, retail, logistics, supply chain, internet products or related fields. - Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to create compelling positioning/messaging strategy and present complex information clearly and concisely. - Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to use data and metrics to justify requirements, features and drive management of product. - High attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously with minimal supervision. - Collaborative working style. Must work well in a team environment. - Must have bias for action and strong work ethic. - Proven ability to deliver first class customer experiences with a deep understanding of UX best practices.
